Equate Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly Review

By Revathi K.

Hello girls,

I don’t remember when was the last time I brought vaseline or any other petroleum jelly products. I planned to buy one just to take care of my epilator, as suggested in its brochure. I saw this big tub of Equate cocoa butter petroleum jelly. Smaller size options were not available. Hence, I had no choice and bought this. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Equate Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly:

The Equate Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly comes in a tub packaging with a pull open lid. It shuts down with a click. I personally did not like the packaging much. It is travel-friendly as the lid will not come off easily, but it feels slightly bulky to carry around.

With the onset of winter, my feet got very dry, flaky and I got few cracks too 🙁 I was guilty of not taking care of my feet 🙁 So, I started searching in IMBB for some tips and decided to buy the Listerine and Vinegar Foot Soak for Cracked Feet. This did improve the condition. I caught a cold the next day, not sure whether it was due to this foot soak. Still, my feet were dry and had cracks. I was not sure how to tackle this problem. Then, I thought of using the big tub of cocoa butter petroleum jelly and felt like giving it a try. I am not regretting it 🙂

It smells of cocoa butter. It is nice, nothing overpowering. It looks like the typical petroleum jelly, thick whitish substance and slightly sticky. I usually take a generous amount of the jelly and rub onto my whole feet, even the soles. It made my feet look shiny and oily. I don’t mind it since I follow this routine at night. By morning, all the shine and oiliness are gone. I have been doing this for two months now and I also exfoliate with scrubs to clean my feet regularly. Other than that, I have done nothing else for my feet. My feet looks very good and soft and there were no dry flakes. Most cracks had almost disappeared by the end of the first month 🙂 Now, it’s almost the second month and my right feet is completely devoid of cracks, left one has few cracks left.

I had tried my normal body moisturisers on my feet also, but they were not making much difference. I guess our feet need nourishing moisturisers during these winters. I also use it on my lips at night and it keeps my lips well hydrated, sometimes I use it to scrub my lips as well. There are so many uses of petroleum jelly, so I’m sure, this won’t go waste 🙂

Pros of Equate Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly:

  • Multipurpose product.
  • Nice smell.
  • Works great for feet.
  • Can be used on lips.

Cons of Equate Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly:

  • Tub packaging.

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
