My Experience with Essence 01 Natural Brunette Style Eyebrow Stylist Set:

Packaging:
The kit comes inside an oblong, clear plastic case. The case is quite well built and looks like a capsule. The kit comes with two shades of eyebrow powder, a small angled brush and three stencils with different shapes. The powders are placed in a clear, thin plastic tray which is inserted in the case. One has to pull out the tray fully in order to take the brush and powders out for application.

The brush provided in the kit is very small and the bristles are harsh too. But, according to me it’s apt for thin brows and to fill in the sparse areas carefully. There is an instruction leaflet that also has the ingredients mentioned on it. Though, the packaging seems to be very handy and travel friendly, I won’t call it super convenient. Also, the cap is quite loose; I mean it doesn’t shuts tight with a click sound or something. The cap isn’t very tight, but it won’t come off by itself either.

Product and Shades:
The eyebrow powder is meant for brunettes or dark haired women. So, it’s preferably suitable for every Indian woman too. Also, the lighter shade is suitable for blondes, so overall this kit is sufficient for all kind of skin tones. The first shade is a dark taupe color and the other one is a cool toned dark brown shade. The lighter shade can be used in the sparse areas of the brows, and the darker color is for the whole brows. The powders appear extremely natural, so if someone wants a bolder look, these powders will not work well for them. Darker skin tones can use the dark brown color and fair to medium skin tones can use the lighter color on the sparse areas.

Texture and Pigmentation:
The eyebrow powders have a very soft and smooth texture to them. They also blend very easily with the brows and give a more natural look. The powders are very decently pigmented; I get my eyebrows nicely filled with just one swipe of the dark brown color. But if you’re using the small angled brush provided with the kit, you will need 2-3 swipes to completely fill in the brows. The dark color can be built up for more intensified and darker brows.

Staying Power:
The powders are very long lasting and they don’t smudge or fade out from the brows. It lasted easily on me for more than 8 hours and then I washed my face with cleanser and water. I haven’t used any sort of wax or eyebrow sealer to make it stay longer. The powders can stay throughout the day, without the need of re-application. The powders get’s washed off when they come in contact with water. But, the good part is that the powders don’t drip down from the brows when you sweat or mildly splash water on your face.
