Essence 27 Samba Green Kajal Pencil Review

Hope you all are in the pink of health. I picked up this pencil because I’m back in the phase where I love my pencil liners to be colored. I’m so bored of black kajals. I spent half of my engineering with black kajals, but it’s time for me to change. Ever since I got the Coloressence Coloured Liners, my love for coloured ones has resurfaced. So, I bought a few more of them. I even got a friend of mine hooked on to coloured liners! 😛 That’s my story about liners, now let’s get to my favorite part, i.e. reviewing this baby!

My Experience with Essence 27 Samba Green Kajal Pencil:

Packaging:
These kajal pencils come colour coded so they are very easy to spot in your stash. The wooden pencil can be sharpened, but they come without a sharpener. The cap is silver in colour. Details are printed around the body in silver along with the shade number and name. Over all, the packaging is sleek and cute.

Colour/Pigmentation:
Blues and greens can be sported very easily. This one is a forest green colour. Like Essence Kajal Pencil – 25 Feel The Mari-Time, this one’s too a metallic. It’s a very beautiful shade. It is very pigmented and you do not need to go in again. One swipe is all you need to line your eyes. It instantly adds oomph to the eyes. Another beautiful colour to sport in summers, I must say!

Texture:
The texture of this kajal pencil is so smooth that it feels like you’re applying butter. And, like our beloved butter this one’s too soft. It melts so easily. It glides on very easily without tugging or pulling, but I have to be very careful while applying it because it’s so soft that it breaks off with even a little pressure. I cannot keep this outside in hot summers. I have to keep it in the refrigerator. It smudges very very easily and it spreads when rubbed.

Staying Power:
It will stay for 4-5 hours if you do not rub your eyes. It starts fading after 3 hours. The staying power is very average.

• Needs to be kept in refrigerator.

Verdict:
For the price, it’s a decent product. I love the colour very much. I wouldn’t repurchase it again, though!
