My Experience with Essence 40 The Berry Connection Mosaic Blush:

The blush comes in a clear plastic pan. The base of the pan bears a label including the shade name and other product related information. The pan closes nicely with a clear flip top cap that shuts tightly making an audible click. The lid has the brand’s tagline and range name printed on it in simple black fonts. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly, but I wish they had provided a mirror and an applicator with this packaging.

The blush comes in four variants and this shade “Berry Connection.” As this is a mosaic blush, it has three different shades of pink arranged in a 3-D mosaic pattern. The blush looks so beautiful in the pan. Out of the three shades, one is a gorgeous pink shade, the second one is the dusky rose shade and the third one is the beige pink shade. All the three shades when swirled together make a gorgeous light pink blush. The shade is suitable for fairer skin tones.

It is a gorgeous pink blush for my skin tone. The color shows up properly on my skin. This blush gives a gorgeous flush of color to my cheeks. The blush is average in terms of pigmentation. It requires multiple swipes to get the perfect color and finish on my skin.

The blush is loaded with finely-milled silver shimmers. These shimmers are non chunky and add glow to the cheeks but this shimmery finish makes it unsuitable for day-time use. This blush is apt for evening time wear and parties.

The texture of the blush is soft and smooth. It glides on the skin smoothly and it is very easy to blend. The formula is not powdery and are hardly any fallout issues with this product, but it emphasizes my facial pores and dry patches sometimes. So, the skin should be properly moisturized and hydrated before using this product. With a primer and foundation on, it lasts 5 hours approximately with a little fading. I have a habit of touching my face and as a result, the shimmers in the blush tend to transfer.

The staying power is fairly low, i.e., around 3 hours without any primer.
