Hope you are doing good! Today I am reviewing an ombre blush from Essence. This is the Essence Beach Cruisers Blush in the shade ‘ I love Summer Break’. The shade number is 01.

My experience with Essence Beach Cruisers Blush – I love Summer Break:

Essence has some really good products at an amazingly low price point. I have been exploring some items from this brand lately and I have been happy with all my buys. This blush was ‘love at first sight’ for me! I do not own any other ombre blush. So this was a new concept for me! The colors in this blush are so pretty that I could not help picking it up!

Packaging:

The blush comes in a rectangular plastic case with a transparent lid which closes securely. It is travel friendly. The transparent lid makes it easier to see the blush color without opening the lid. There is no mirror or brush provided with this blush, which is fine with me, as it just means more space for the beautiful blush! You get 6.8g of product here, which is quite generous.

Color and Pigmentation:

This blush is an ombre blush and has a gradient of colors ranging from dark to light. The two main colors that are distinguishable instantaneously are a very bright coral red on one side and a lighter apricot-peach shade. In the centre, where these two shades converge, you get a beautiful coral pink shade. You can use these colors individually or mix and make your own custom shade.

The pigmentation of both the light and dark shades is really impressive. You just need a little bit to get a good amount of color on your cheeks. Start with a light hand and build if needed.

Texture and Finish:

The texture of this blush is very soft and silky, just like Essence’s silky touch blushes! The blush is so soft that you need to be gentle while swiping your brush on the blush to avoid getting tons of the product on your brush! The blush seems to have some minute shimmer particles when you see the color in the pan, but when you apply it on your cheeks, there is no visible shimmer. The blush blends beautifully to give a nice glow to the cheeks.

Smell:

The blush smells like sweet candy. it is quite a pleasant scent! There is also a hint of baby powder scent as this blush contains talc.

Longevity:

The blush lasts on my oily skin for over 8 hours before fading slightly, when used on top of a BB cream and powder. The staying power is quite good!
