I got this highlighter recently as I always wear a highlighter on the high cheek with a blush, and some darker contour powder too. I wear it at a very minimal level but yes it makes me feel my base makeup is complete. Since it is impossible to use up a highlighter before it gets bad, I thought why not try something affordable, but this one turned out amazing for me and my skin tone. Take a look.

The packaging is simple and it click locks in place but it is not so compact to be carried around. But this could be compared to the Lakme highlighter and bronzer duo in size which I use all the time. The tent design on the compact is super cute.

This is a gold highlighter unlike the Lakme which is pearly white. This is gold but it is not at all chunky shimmery or glittery but it is a simple sheen gold.you might think this will be OTT but it is simply too pretty and apt for lighter yellow skin tone. This just melts into the skin and makes it look like a natural highlight, this catches the light so well without being too pink or silver. The gold makes it just right for warm skin but very dusky or pinker skin can skip it but pale yellow and medium skin would love how natural it looks.

The only problem i find is that sometime you might think it is getting patchy on application and needs little more focus. But this could be patted on the cheek bone with fingers too. I did not notice any fall out or chalky powdery effect, it is light on the skin.I prefer the finger patting more than the brush, then may be blend it lightly with a angled brush. It lasts easily on my combo-oily skin in dry weather, for 3-4 hours. It is really not shiny but still shiny enough to catch the light. You can wear it in the evening and night.May be very very lightly during the day.I highly recommend this too warm and yellow or neutral skin tones. I think I would use this as much as the Lakme highlighter.Another thing is that you could use it for the eyes, inner corner and lightly under the brow and the bridge of the nose and the cupid’s bow too.

Hi Neha,
I am looking for a shimmer free illuminator for day time use as I have dry skin(yellow tone), it looks even dull after makeup. We don’t have MAC stores in our city so please suggest me an illuminator/highlighter from drugstore brand, I was thinkin about the colorbar spotlight illuminator which you reviewed earlier and what about this one, is it totally shimmer free?

I mostly stay away from highlighters due to oily skin, I also do not like the lakme one much but this sounds promising I will surely check it out next time 🙂
