Happy New Year to IMBB team and readers,

With New Year, it’s time to add some color to lash line. I picked up the midnight blue shade “In the Eclipse” from the collection of Essence Kajal Pencils, comprising of at least 8-10 shades.

My Take on Essence Kajal Pencil – Feel The Eclipse:

The pencil is simple yet elegant. A sharpen-able pencil, with silver metallic cap and outer color is of the same shade as the kajal itself. I wish it included the sharpener to make the life easier. The shade of the kajal pencil is midnight blue or you can say dark navy blue, leaning towards dim black. The formula is not creamy or soft, thus involves tugging in application.

Also, several swipes are needed to get a decent intense line on upper lash. However, it looks beautiful when finally applied. On waterline, it shows the color in 4-5 swipes and doesn’t sting at all; so safe for waterline since its a kajal pencil. It doesn’t smudge, but comes off with rubbing eyes. The staying power is not praise worthy; it lasts for about 2-2.5 hours, and then starts fading unevenly, specially from the inner corners. It stays for about two hours on waterline. I am not much impressed with the formula, but the shade is too pretty to grab it at this price.
