There seems to be Makeup fixing spray from almost all big brands. Now even the drug store brands are coming up with such sprays. Essence has recently released this spray in to the market. This happens to be my first makeup spray and I was excited to try. I had read a lot about Mac Fix+ but was not really sure if I needed one and also spend so much for a spray.

My Experience with Essence Keep It Perfect! Makeup Fixing Spray:
I normally don’t have problems with make up staying put. So never felt a need for one. But this one was very affordable and hence I though why not?
The packaging is small, lightweight and elegant. It comes in a tower bottle which is plastic and a spray pump on top. The spray pump sprays the liquid evenly. The bottle from the outside has purple dots and looks kind of cute.
The liquid spray is transparent and is of watery consistency. The spray is supposed to be fragrance free. I like the fact that it is fragrance free because that means lesser chemicals. But the liquid composition actually smells of the chemical ingredients. It reminded me of tablets. I feel it smells strong like medicine. But the good thing is, the smell lasts only for a minute or so and then it is fragrance free.
The spray needs to be sprayed from a distance. The first time, I was so eager to try that I didn’t keep the minimum distance. So a part of my face was dripping wet and I had to blot it using a tissue paper
The next time, I was careful and made sure that the bottle is far away and my face received very tiny particles of the spray. I sprayed just one pump and I felt it was quite sufficient. I had a fear that if I sprayed it more than once it might wet my face.The spray dried in a minute and I was ready to go.
I have a very sensitive skin and the spray did not cause and kind of irritation or redness to my skin. So it is suitable for sensitive skin.
Overall, it’s a good product but according to me it is not a must have. It is very affordable. I prefer to use it not on a daily basis but when I know I need to stay outdoors with lots of makeup.

Will I Repurchase Essence Keep It Perfect! Makeup Fixing Spray?
Not really. I don’t have problems with my makeup staying put (I spend most of my day in AC office). I could not see any difference after using the spray.
Do I Recommend Essence Keep it perfect! Makeup fixing Spray?
If you have problems with makeup vanishing or fading off then give it a go. It is very inexpensive and you will not be disappointed even if it fails.
