My Experience with Essence Life Is Sweet XXXL Shine Lipgloss:
I don’t really own a lot of lip glosses. I have a few which I mostly use over my lipsticks, just to give it a finishing touch. I use them only during evening outings. I was recently checking out the products in the beauty store and found these lip-glosses. I was tempted to try! I bought 2 of them and here is my experience about one of them. The packaging looks good from the outside. The applicator is not very stiff and flexes when you apply the gloss on the lips.
It’s not easy to apply the gloss with this as it does not let me have full control of application. When I try to put back the applicator into the tube, it kind of bounces back and then I need to apply little bit of force to keep the applicator inside. I was hoping that the product won’t ooze out, and it thankfully didn’t. The print on the outer packaging gets eroded pretty easily. The gloss itself has a very thin consistency. I was not really comfortable wearing it.
I felt that it might bleed my lips after some time. The product has no glitter or shine particles in it. The staying power is not so good either. It lasted around 2 to 3 hours and then definitely needed a reapplication. The product also has a mild sweet fragrance to it. The color was a total disaster on me. I totally looked washed out and pale. It would suit fairer skin tones, but it is definitely not for dusky skin tones ones. Overall, I am not satisfied with the product, and do not have to say much about it. The lips kind of feel dry after using the product. It is no way moisturizing. Make sure your lips are well moisturized before you put it on. The product also has a mild sweet fragrance to it.

• Doesn’t suit darker skin tones; will just suit very fair to fair skin tones
• Makes me look washed out
• Not long lasting
• Application wand is not user friendly and requires efforts
• Packaging is not great

If you tend to like light nude glosses and have fairer skin tone, you can give it a try. If not, stay away from it as it does not have anything extraordinary to offer.

Looks like a nice bubblegummy color in the tube, but you are right, it may not suit dark skin tones 🙁

I am not a fan of glosses anyway but this is such a sad product. I don’t think even fair girls would like to use it.
