My Experience with Essence Marble Mania Eyeshadow in Swirl It, Baby!:
Packaging:
The shadow comes in a small, clear and rounded pot with a dome shaped, transparent lid. With the clear plastic lid, it becomes easy to identify the shade when you have other shades too. The lid shuts tight with a click sound and the packaging is well built too. The small container makes it very travel friendly. The product name has been printed in silver font over the cap. The shade name is given at the bottom side of the pot.
Texture, Pigmentation and Finish:
So basically, it’s a merged color baked eyeshadow. I just love baked eyeshadows. They have very smooth and easy to blend texture that is not at all dry or powdery. The shadow is not like the hard pressed ones. It’s creamy and super easy to work with any kind of brushes or fingers too. The shadow can be applied in wet or dry form. Basically, I wear it dry and it’s super pigmented when applied in dry form too. Just with one swipe, the shadow gives full color on the lids. The intensity of the color is easily buildable, but by applying it with a wet brush. The eyeshadow gives a nice pearlescent and satiny effect on the eyelids. The shimmers are not at all visible on the lids.
Shade:
‘Swirl It, Baby!’ is a mix of rosy pink and black with very tiny but perceptible silver shimmers to it. Some little lines of purple can be seen in the shadow too. You can actually apply it in two ways.
a) You can use these shades separately.
b) You can use the pink portion at the inner corners of eyelids and then apply the black portion at the outer corners and crease area.
c) You can use by blending both the colors together and it looks really nice too.
The color I get by mixing both the colors is a nice taupe color with some pinkish undertones to it. The shade is perfect to wear every day to office and colleges and it’ll suit every skin tone. This kind of color can be worn with any kind of outfit or makeup.
Staying Power:
The shadow lasted on me for more than 5 hours without any primer. The satiny and creamy texture helps it last long on eyelids. The shadow doesn’t crease at all.
