Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover Review

Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover Review

Hello everyone,

I love painting my nails with different colors, but when it comes to removing nail polishes, I am very lazy and I am always on the lookout for something quick and easy. Essence has a huge variety of nail care products and I really like their nail polishes as well, so when I spotted this one, I thought of giving it a try.

Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover

Fast, gentle and thorough! This nail polish remover is ideal for those of you who are always in a hurry yet still expect thorough cleansing. Every nail polish can be removed in just a few easy steps with this remover. Thanks to the special formula, your cuticles and the surface of your nails are replenished with moisture during use. Theresults: strong, healthy nails with a deliciously exotic coconut and papaya scent.

Price:

Rs. 249 for 150 ml.

My Experience with Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover:

The remover comes in two different variants – moisturizing coconut and papaya (I have the coconut one).  The nail polish remover comes in a short, chubby, transparent, plastic bottle with a wide opening.  There is no stopper attached and due to the wide mouth, one has to be very careful, else there can be a lot of product wastage. Thankfully, the cap is tight and there is no spillage even when the bottle is tilted.  Unfortunately, it contains acetone as a main ingredient which I saw after purchasing.  They do have a non-acetone version and I will definitely try it next time. The nail polish remover is blue in color and has a strong acetone and coconut smell, which is not very pleasant, but it evaporates soon.

Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover

This remover took off my nail polish in a single stroke, without leaving my nails looking dry or dehydrated.  I used this remover consistently for two times and my nails and cuticles do not look or feel dry even though it contains acetone, it might be due to the moisturizing properties.  The previous nail polish remover I was using really used to nourish my nails, but this one doesn’t.

Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover

It efficiently removes shimmer and glitter nail polishes. I press the moist cotton pad for 10-15 seconds against my nail and all the nail polish comes off.  If some particles are left behind, they come off easily with another swipe.  It does not leave behind any layer or anything.  A little goes a long way, so the bottle should last long.  I am happy that it removes all kind of nail polishes easily, but I will definitely not repurchase it solely because it contains acetone and alcohol which can dry out nails with prolonged use.

Pros of Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover:

  • Removes all kinds of nail polishes.
  • Bottle is travel friendly.
  • Nails do not feel dry.
  • Removes nail polishes quickly.
  • Reasonably priced and easily available.
  • Claims to contain moisturizing properties.

Cons of Essence Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover:

  • Wide mouth, has no stopper.
  • Contains alcohol and acetone.
  • Has a strong fragrance initially.

Would I Recommend Essence Moisturizing Coconut and Papaya Nail Polish Remover?

If you are okay with acetone in nail polish removers, then you can give it a try, but I will surely not repurchase this variant.
