Essence More To Love Lipstick Review

Hello beauties,

Today I am here with an Essence product’s review. I have waited really long to review the Essence products, but now no more waiting for the reviews. I’ll surely review every product that I have, not promising though. 😛

As the above description has mentioned, the lipstick comes in a fully color coded bullet body. There is a transparent section just at the middle of the cap and the bullet body. And, the bullet is also housed in the same transparent section. There’s nothing very great about the packaging. But, for the price, I am not complaining. The cap shuts close by making a click sound. You can find a sticker bearing the shade name and number just at the bottom of the lipstick. Overall, the packaging is lightweight, very girly and chic.

My Experience with Essence More To Love Lipstick:

Shade: More To Love is a nice, light raspberry pink color with concentrated silver shimmers in it. The shade is neither very loud and nor too light. The shimmers in the lipstick give the color a frosty or silvery appearance and you won’t believe, but this shimmer actually looks very nic eon the lips. This is the first time that I have liked a shimmery, frosty lipstick as much. The shimmers in the color complement the color very well. And, I think the color will suit variety of skin tones. But, it’s more apt for fair to medium skin tones. The subtle color makes it a very wearable and everyday kind of shade.

Texture, Finish and Pigmentation: The texture, finish and pigmentation of the lipstick reminds you of a tinted lip balm. The texture is very smooth and creamy. The lipstick glides without tugging or pulling the lips. The formula is super hydrating and at the same time, it feels very light weight. The finish is glossy just like a lip balm. The buttery lipstick won’t bleed upon layering. And yes, the color is a bit frosty. The lipstick lacks pigmentation and opacity. It doesn’t goes opaque, even if you keep on adding layers and layers of it.

This one is a tad more pigmented than a lip balm or tint, but is not as opaque as a lipstick should. With one swipe, it gives color like a tinted lip balm and fails to cover the flaws of lips too. 3-4 swipes would make it look a bit more prominent. Exfoliation of lips is required as the sheerness of the lipstick will make flaky areas of lips more visible. I will suggest pigmented lips to skip this shade. Well, the sheerness of the lipstick makes it a very wearable color for everyday. Whenever you open the cap of the lipstick, you can smell a nice fruity scent. But, this scent doesn’t linger on lips.

Staying Power: The buttery lipstick gives me wear time of 2-2.5 hours maximum. It transfers a bit and can’t survive meals.

• Super creamy and smooth texture.
• Glides effortlessly on lips.
• Super hydrating formula, apt product for dry lips.
• Though creamy, doesn’t bleed upon layering.

Cons of Essence More To Love Lipstick:

• Lacks pigmentation and the shade is non buildable, but considering it a creamy lipstick I don’t mind.
• Wears off quickly.
• The shimmers tend to stick on lips even after the color fades away, and needs to be removed with a nice makeup remover.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.

Would I Recommend Essence More to Love Lipstick?

Obviously, I would recommend this shade to everyone. This is such a beautiful & frosty lip color. But, as the lipstick lacks pigmentation, intensely pigmented lips can skip this shade. If you generally use a tinted lip balm, there’s no harm in using this lipstick too. You can use this lipstick over a good lip liner to enhance the coverage and longevity.
