My Experience with Essence Poppy Red XXXL Shine Lipgloss:
The packaging looks good from the outside. The applicator is not very stiff and flexes when you apply the gloss on the lips. It’s not easy to apply the gloss with this kind of applicator. I never understood the reason behind it. I feel it doesn’t let me have full control of application. When I try to put back the applicator into the tube, it kind of bounces back and then I need to apply little bit of force to keep the applicator inside. I was hoping that the product won’t ooze out and it thankfully didn’t. The print on the outer packaging gets eroded pretty easily. So packaging wise, it’s really bad and not upto the mark. A worn out lip-gloss (slightly used) in a vanity looks ugly, I feel.
The gloss itself has a very thin consistency. I was not really comfortable wearing it. I felt that it might bleed out of my lips after some time. I had to check many times to make sure that everything is fine. Such kind of products are no way helping your confidence. The product has no glitter or shine particles in it. I usually don’t prefer the ones with glitter or shimmer on lips either. The staying power is not so good. It lasted around 2 to 3 hours and then definitely needed a reapplication. The lips kind of feel dry after using the product. It is no way moisturizing.
Make sure the lips are well moisturized before applying the product. The product also has a mild sweet fragrance to it. The color looks okayish on me. It is not too sheer and contains some pigmentation. My lips actually look a little red, still I would any day prefer a lipstick to a gloss. It’s not a must-have for me, but if you prefer using a lip gloss to lipstick, I would recommend it.

If you are a lip gloss lover, then give it a go. The cost is also not so high and it is decently pigmented for a gloss.
