Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today, I am reviewing a beautiful bright blue nail paint from the brand Essie. It’s the shade “In The Cab-ana.”

My Experience with Essie Nail Lacquer – In The Cab-ana:

The nail lacquer comes in a rectangular glass bottle with a white cap. The cap has a sticker on the top, with the shade name printed in the same color as the nail paint. The brush is a little thinner than conventional nail paint brushes. So you need to be careful while applying the nail paint to prevent streaking. But the narrow brush helps to easily paint the sides of the nails without getting the paint on your fingers! I am quite happy with this brush.

The shade “In The Cab-ana” is described as a “self-assured aqua azure” on the Essie site. It is a really pretty, bright medium blue shade. There is a slight hint of aqua, as per Essie’s description. While this shade is very pretty, as with any such blue or other light colors, your hands may look slightly darker.

The formula is creamy with a gel-like consistency. One coat gives good opacity, but with two coats, you can get full coverage. I usually go for three coats, as with almost any nail paint. The finish is beautiful with a glossy shine.

The drying time is what I really like about Essie nail paints. It dries really fast. But since this formula is thicker than the average Essie nail paints, this one takes slightly longer to dry.

The nail paint stays intact for at least 5 days, even with my daily dish washing and other kitchen activities! The shine is also retained as such for 5 days. After 5 days, there is some minimal chipping at the base and the tips fades lightly.

Essie has some really good base and top coats, which can help you retain the nail paint for the full week, without any chipping. Even without this, it lasted me a decently long time. All Essie polishes are also DBP, toluene and formaldehyde free, which is another major plus.

Would I Recommend Essie Nail Lacquer – In The Cab-ana?

I love this bright blue color and the staying power. Such colors do make the hands look a bit darker, but I am willing to ignore that for this beautiful color!
