Today, I have another skin care review, this one is again from Estee Lauder. It’s a day cream from their “Advanced Time Zone” range.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Line/Wrinkle Creme:
A quick brief on my facial skin – my face is combination to oily, and I struggle with acne, which leaves behind nasty scars. Also, age spots have started to become visible. Lastly, my skin can get dehydrated and dull very easily – which may well be a reflection of my eating habits and my sleep pattern…
After trying the Estee Lauder Day Wear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Crème SPF 15, I decided to up my game and went for the anti-ageing cream this time. Unfortunately, all Estee Lauder creams seem to come in the tub packaging, so I was kind of stuck with it.
This product is an anti-ageing product which promises to give stark results in 5 days!! Yup – 5 days!! That sure is a tall claim! Honestly, these claims are based on comparison between someone who uses this cream vs someone who used NO cream. Honestly, if you religiously use “a” cream (not necessary which one) religiously for a defined period of time, you will see visible improvement in your skin due to the hydration and slight plumping of the skin which the cream provides. Did it suddenly erase my fine lines – nope! Because I was anyway using another cream before starting this one.
The cream is white in color and not very thick, which makes sense considering it is for normal/combination skin. It gets absorbed easily and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. There is no residue left on the skin. There is a distinct heavy fragrance. I kind of enjoy fragrance in my skin care, but if you are someone who doesn’t, you might want to just skip this one because the fragrance sticks around. If you apply it to your hand (why would you apply the $70 cream on your hand? I’ll come back to that), you can still get the fragrance even after an hour.
This is a day cream, so comes with broad spectrum sun protection with SPF 15, which I find okay for normal use. If I am stepping out of the house, I would definitely use a sun protection on top. It’s extremely rich in anti-oxidants and works well to keep the skin hydrated and protected from environmental damages.
What effect did it have on my skin? It made my skin soft and supple. Continuous usage ensured that my skin felt and looked hydrated and plump, which is what causes reduction in “the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.”
I don’t really think this cream can reverse the signs of ageing. It just claims to “reduce the appearance of the lines and wrinkles.” You really need to get into the nitty gritty of what the actual claim is versus what you think it promises.
Again, the challenge that I faced with this cream was the same as with my previous one from Estee Lauder , the tub packaging. This causes the plentiful anti-oxidants present in the cream to break down over time and result in ineffectiveness of the whole product. By the time you are a little more than half way through, there is not much efficacy left to the product. Bummer!!

Cons of Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Line/Wrinkle Creme:
- Fragrance could be an issue for people allergic to it.
- Tub packaging – causes breakdown of antioxidants due to exposure to sunlight.
- Doesn’t really perform miracles as promised by the brand.

Overall, I think it’s a nice cream, but at that price point, I am not okay with a “nice” cream. I want more. It definitely is not equipped to deliver miracles as promised by the brand. Over and above, the jar packaging!! I say, skip it!
