Estee Lauder All-Day Lipstick in Mocha Pink

Estee Lauder All day lipstick (Rs 1250 approx for 3.8g) is a lovely warm brown pink with coral undertones. The Estee Lauder website describes it as a “Creamy, classic, long-wearing lip color.” This was one of the first Estee Lauder lipsticks that I got since I was so tempted to own the lipstick with the classic gold heavy metal case. I just love the feeling of the gold case, it reminds me of the classic 60′s English movies I see, with the chic and regally dressed actress taking out the golden case from her purse.

I found the smooth formula with satin finish gives lasting medium coverage that’s really comfortable to wear. It looks like a matte lipstick but actually has very fine golden shimmer that is not obvious but gives you the subtle sheen. The lipstick is not drying at all but not very creamy if compared to creamy lipsticks like Nyx round lipsticks.

I tried it on and it looked pretty nice color, not as brown as I had imagined and not as pink as the website describes it. I would describe it as a lovely mix of pink and corally brown.
Depending on your complexion color and your lip natural color, this could be your MLBB lipstick. For a perfect lip shape, I apply the lipstick with a lip brush. Since its a rather good opaque lipstick, one swipe is good enough to get the color of the lipstick. If you want a darker shade than the original intended shade, you would swipe it on for a couple of times more.

The color lasts pretty long, maybe not as long-lasting as Estee Lauder Double wear lipsticks, but will last for a good 5-6 hours and then slowly fade off. You can put a translucent lip balm over it so that it tends to be less drying over time and give a bit of shine. You could try it with a lip gloss on the top for a good color and gloss combination. I love wearing it often and this would well be a daily use formal not-in-your face lipstick. I think this color also makes for a great simple nude category lipstick when you are going for a dramatic smokey eye look.

Cons of Estee Lauder All Day Lipstick Mocha Pink

-Cost on the pricier side.
-Fragrance might be strong for people with sensitive nose.

Conclusion :

I love all Estee Lauder lipsticks, would buy more if only they were not so expensive.
More than the lipstick I love the feel of the golden case and everyone should own one since its a reminiscent of classic lipstick casing of our grandmother’s time which is now almost replaced by boring plastic.

Farha actually you know sometimes I feel odd myself when I go downstairs to to a walk or something.. women I dunoo why they dont dress up for office. Nikki i have the stay in place lipstick , which I feel is quite similar to this one. The textures and formulas of EL lipsticks are fantastic.. yeah they are tad expensive ( Bt i would still say that they are worth it. )

Yes, Rupa…..I use kasthuri manjal on my legs and face every week….like once in a week….its good if you can find time to apply it all over your body……it is very refreshing…..if you apply it on your face directly na….it will sting….be sure to mix it with honey…..kumkumadi I have used for acne marks rupa…..you cannot use it in the day…..use it to acne spots and blemishes at night time only….and remember apply kasthuri manjal to feet mixing it with water….but when you apply it on face….mix with curd or honey O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) O:)

i dont want to spoil the fun or take away any credit…but i saw a msg on my collegues mobile and it said everything exactly to the T the way pakistan played….and by the end of the day i knew india is winning by 20 runs and finally they won by 29 runs…sooo……..
