Estee Lauder Ballerina Pink Pure Color Nail Lacquer Review

I have got a nail paint from Estee Lauder up for review today – it’s called “Ballerina Pink.” Here’s more on it:

Packaging:
The nail lacquer comes in a unique cuboid glass bottle with gold detailing– very easy to store because of its shape. The bottle comes packaged in the usual blue cardboard packaging – typical of Estee Lauder makeup.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Ballerina Pink Pure Color Nail Lacquer:

Color:  The shade “Ballerina Pink” is a soft milky white with a touch of pink – in the bottle. However, on the hand, it translates into almost a n*de shade. Two coats give the nails a high-shine milky, even-toned appearance.  It’s almost like foundation for your nails.  So, two coats don’t really add much colour. Instead, it gives a nice healthy look to the nails. This could well be used as the base nail color for a French manicure.

The great thing about such a neutral shade is also that even when you have a bit of chipping, it’s not gonna be visible – even at close quarters. So, your nails look fresh and healthy throughout.

Another thing which caught my attention was how the shine of the nail lacquer does not get lost easily. Even at day 4, the shine was visibly intact and there was no chipping.

Despite being a creamy milky shade, it does not stain, which is a huge plus for me!

So far, so good.

Now the flip side! By day 5, the nail chipping starts and by day 6, it looks distinctly obvious since the colour of your nails appear uneven. Even the shine starts to dull off.

Another thing that I have noticed with Estee Lauder nail paints, with a high-end nail paint like this, you would expect the brush to be special, like say, the Dior one.  The Dior brush is distinctly thicker, flares out nicely, and you need just one swipe. The Estee Lauder nail lacquer brush is similar to any other brush; works okay, but there’s nothing special about it.  The drawing time is also average. No quick dry here.

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Estee Lauder Ballerina Pink Pure Color Nail Lacquer:

• Beautiful neutral shade – adds a touch of sophistication to the nails.
• Dries up to a high shine finish, which does not fade with time.
• Packaging is unique and screams luxury.
• Classy small bottle, so easy to carry.
• There is no weird smell to it.
• Lasts for a decent 4-5 days, but that may have something to do with the shade, rather than the quality of the product actually.
• Despite being a milky shade, it does not stain.

Cons of Estee Lauder Ballerina Pink Pure Color Nail Lacquer:

• Consistency of the nail paint is a little thin and runny, definitely needs at least two coats.

I think this is a lovely shade for office goers or someone who doesn’t like statement colours on her nails. It gives a nice polished look to the nails with a glossy shine. The effect is very flattering. I think it’s a must-try shade from Estee Lauder.
