Estee Lauder Blue Dahlia Nail Laquer is a midnight blue nail polish. It does not have any shimmer but has a glossy shine to it. The nail polish is on the opaque side. You just need one coat of nail polish to get the colour but I like to apply two coats of it to get really dark nails.
Blue Dahlia Nail Laquer
The brush is wide enough to give even application to your nails. The formula is neither thick or thin. The texture reminds me of acrylic colours. I found zero streaking or bubbling while applying the nail polish.

I wanted to do the real test of chipping since the nail polish is on the expensive side. I applied this nail laquer on Saturday morning and today is Wednesday. I took the following picture today. There is absolutely no chipping and I have not applied nail top coat. It’s just two coats of Blue Dahlia Nail laquer. If you look closely at the edges of my nails, you’d notice that my nails have already started growing.

The nail laquer has lost a little glossiness and shine however but there has been no chipping at all. 
The color hasn’t dulled down. Oh! I do regular house hold chores.

yeah there are loads of laquer heads who go crazy about nail paints. I think it’s the same na. I would go and buy an expensive lipstick and they’d give me stares.

Much too expensive for a nail panit unless u r a real nail paint enthusiast……but that staying power is awesome……..my nail panits never stay beyond a couple of days with base coat & top coat

I think its quite unfair to compare an EL paint with say a Lakme or a Maybelline paint…its a luxury brand…and you pay for the brand…that’s one thing. The quality would also be wayyy superior, I am not saying its 1000 bucks more superior, but there is a difference. Try a Dior lipstick and a Lakme lipstick, and then tell me that there is no difference!! So ultimately, it would all depend on the budget..for Rs. 100, you get awesome nail colours, but if I had the Rs. 1200 to spare for a nailpolish, I would definitely buy these. Right now, I don’t…I used it up for buying my Chanel lip gloss

Hmm… this is surprising. Many of you do not seem surprised when a lipstick cost so much but a nail paint worth Rs. 1200 seem shocking. I am not saying it is cheap but I am wondering why so many of you give less important to nails than you give to blush or eyeshadow or lipsticks. We men pay as much attention to a woman’s nails as to her face while talking to her. And not so nice looking nails are a turn off.
Effectively It’s like saying that your face should look fair but your neck can look dark. Or that you can wear good suits and trousers but wear cheap shabby shoes.
The underlying assumption is that nails are perhaps less visible than the face and hence less important for buying a Rs. 1200 nail paint. Unfortunately, it’s not so. And good looks are a whole package, not just face I believe.
My Bf notices shoes and even the toes and toenails of girls!!..Even the feeeeet , he tells me if someone’s got cracks and all lol..So I agree with this fact. Men notice everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me toooo..I notice so many girls…so well dressed..hair perfect (which with my scatterbrains hair is really a big deal) and so well dressed and slim slim slim…and scroll down to the feet and stupid chappal kind of stuff with totally neglected feet…not even moisturized!!!! Good-looking feet with some pretty nail colour can be so super attractive…

Oh you don’t need to buy EL for pretty feet…that’s not what I say at all…you can have pretty feet even with some clear nail polish or no nail polish also…just moisturize and keep feet clean…and these girls so much effort on everything else and such shabby feet it kind of sticks out..

Believe me…some of us are fully shocked by them lipsticks as well but somehow there have been so many of such reviews here that i have become desensitized to an extent but i guess this is the first nail paint review >1000 range so we have been shocked afresh, i think a few more such reviews and we will accept them nail colors as well…..you know i read each and every imbb post and yet sometimes because others have commented all that i need to say i happily browse and go back keeping behind the scene but even i had to comment today.. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I think you are right. ALso, we use lipsticks more often than nail paints so a price such as this seems expensive to us while we digest the same price for lipsticks.
