Estee Lauder Electric Pink #66 Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick Review

I am back with another lipstick review, from my favourite brand, Estee Lauder. This one is from the “Pure Color Long Lasting” collection. Let’s find out more about this product.

Product Description:

Retails at $26 in US and INR 1755 in India for 3.8 gm.

Packaging:  The golden lipstick comes enclosed in a seal wrapped box, the box has a small window from which you would be able to identify the colour. The lipstick itself has a luxe gold casing with a glass bottom through which you can see the colour of the lipstick.

The lipstick case closes smoothly and the alignment is such that it is not likely to come loose in the bag. Love the EL logo on the lipstick case.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Electric Pink #66 Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick:

Color:  The shade “Electric Pink” is part of the “Long Lasting” range and is part of the “Lasting Shimmer Finish.” The shade is a soft yet vibrant pink through which runs a pearly sheen. The colour is a delectable soft pink, quite becoming.  It’s almost girly in appearance, would work very well for office wear – for ladies who do not like to go with a total n*de look.

Texture: The texture is smooth and creamy. The pearly sheen has no evident shimmer/glitter particles. Neither is it like the MAC Lustre or Frost finish. It looks and feels creamy and does not cling to the dry patches on the lips. It feels quite comfortable on the lips.

Pigmentation: Despite being a soft color, it has good pigmentation, and it’s fully opaque in two swipes. Sometimes, you see softer colours not having any pigmentation and you have to really work on getting the colour to show up; this is not the case with “Electric Pink.”

Staying Power: The colour stays true through snacks/mini-meals for good 4- 4.5 hours. Being a soft shade, you will need re-application. Also, considering the shade, there isn’t much of a stain that it leaves.

Pros of Estee Lauder Electric Pink #66 Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick:

• Lovely, soft yet vibrant pink.
• Good pigmentation.
• Easy to apply from the tube.
• Comes in a sealed tamper-proof packaging.
• Excellent luxe and practical case.
• Does not feather.
• Despite its semi-matte finish, does not accentuate the fine lines of my lips.
• Does not dry out my lips.

Cons of Estee Lauder Electric Pink #66 Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick:

• Re-application post 4-4.5 hours doesn’t really qualify for a long lasting finish!

I think Estee Lauder lipsticks are of really good quality, the texture, the shade range and the beautiful packaging, all put together, spell a winner. The best part is that the shade range itself is so huge that you would definitely find something suitable for yourself.
