Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup

Hi All,

I am going to review today one of my recent priced buy.  The Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup, which is also my first ever buy from Estee Lauder. I was using MAC Foundation for the past couple of years, mainly because I couldn’t find any other foundation in Australia which matched my skin tone.  Even though I am very happy with my MAC Liquid Foundation, I feel it is not suitable for everyday/casual wear as it is very heavy. So, I was using Lotus Tinted Sunscreen for day time wear, which used to give me a natural sheen and coverage.

Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup

I was at my local David Jones Cosmetic Counter one day and saw that Estee Lauder had introduced a new invisible foundation for lightweight and natural look. I however did not have much faith in finding a shade to suit my skin colour from departmental stores in Australia.

I tried some shades on and came up with a conclusion that 3WN1 suited me perfectly.  This particular foundation has the ability to match to your skin tone, so I guess there is a match for everyone.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup:

This product is quite runny and of a thinner consistency than the other fluid makeup I have used in the past. It is really very important to shake the bottle well before getting the product out from the bottle. This is because it is a water-based foundation and if it is not shaken properly, only a very thin water-like substance will come out of the bottle.  The advertisement on the Estee lauder website says “Shake, Shake, Shake.” This foundation provides sheer coverage and is so light on the skin that I don’t even feel like I am wearing makeup. It is highly blendable, so I can use more or less product according to my requirement.

However, because this product is for achieving a fresh and natural look, it doesn’t cover blemishes like some other heavy makeup. As such, this product is better suited for people without much pigmentation/redness/blemishes, etc., and extremely suited for everyday wear as this is more like a tinted foundation than a hardcore “foundation.”

Since it is water based, the foundation can be washed off easily.  It doesn’t clog pores and I haven’t noticed any negative reactions.  The small size of the makeup makes it easy to carry around; however, it should always be stored upright, if not, the product gets clogged around the lid area. Additionally, this makeup doesn’t seem to have any added fragrance and it has almost no smell, which I like compared to MAC which smells of chemicals.

The ingredient list is not given on the bottle or the website.  This product is best if you want to wear makeup, but make others believe you have flawlwss skin naturally.  Additionally, this makeup stays on for about 4 hours.  In Australia, we do not sweat because of the humidity and climate, so sweating and makeup vanishing from your face is not a problem.  However, in humid and hot climates , this makeup might just vanish after you start to sweat.

Why I Love Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup:

  • It provides sheer natural coverage which I prefer compared to heavy foundations.
  • Doesn’t clog pores and is non-acnegenic.
  • Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.
  • Fragrance free.
  • This range contains all the shades to suit Indian women from any part of India, while complimenting the golden glow.

Why I Do Not Love Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup:

  • Very pricey for a 30 ml product (however, a little goes a long way).
  • Does not provide heavy coverage, so stay away if you are after makeup for special occasions.
  • As it is water based, it is not sweat resistant, so might not be useful in hot and humid climates.
  • Ingredient list is not given on packaging or the website.

Will I Repurchase Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup?

I simply adore this makeup. It gave me a perfect colour match, has a natural finish and does not clog pores. What more can I ask for? However, given the price tag, I’m not sure if I’d be able to repurchase this easily.

I think this is nice..as i love light weight , medium coverage foundations… but more apt for winters or areas which have atleast less humidity than in Kolkata right now :(
