I am totally enjoying my nail paint phase right now. I am loving experimenting with colors and a little bit with textures. With two kids running wild, I obviously don’t have time to experiment with nail art but maybe one day. Today, I share with you another shade from Estee Lauder. Lets see how this one performed.

Packaging:
The nail paint comes packaged in a unique cuboid glass bottle with gold detailing – it’s like a piece of ice cube. The shape makes it very easy to store. The bottle comes packaged in the usual blue cardboard packaging – typical of Estee Lauder makeup.
My Experience with Estee Lauder Pink Dragon Pure Color Long Lasting Nail Lacquer:
The shade “Pink Dragon” was released last year along with “Surreal Sun” and other shades corresponding to the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy sculpting lipstick and the shine variants. Surreal Sun and Pink Dragon – both colors have corresponding lipsticks in the Envy Shine range.
Color: The shade “Pink Dragon” is a pretty shade – medium pink with just a touch of red, it’s very creamy. The creaminess is very evident even when applying the nail paint. It’s a very every day shade – not something which is too eye catching. However, I do find that it makes the hands look very feminine – kind of girly!
The smooth creamy colour has a nice luminous touch – I think it’s evident even in the pics. As I have seen with other Estee Lauder shades – the luminosity, the shine of the shade does not dim with wear.
The polish applies smoothly. It does need at least two coats to look fully opaque, one coat will not cut it.
The nail paint is definitely fast drying. By the time I’m done applying both hands, the first hand is dry and ready for the second coat. With Estee Lauder nail paints, I have never had an instance of the nail paint smudging because it wasn’t dry.
For the purpose of review, I did not use a base coat or top coat. I wanted to evaluate the nail paint on its own merit.
Now, the main question – the longevity. Estee Lauder nail paints have been quite inconsistent in their range – in this aspect. This one again didn’t quite live up to its claims of long wearing. The nail paint only gave 2 days of wear time before it started to chip and being a bright colour, the chipping looks fairly obvious. Yes, a good base coat and top coat, will give additional wear time to the product.

- Beautiful medium pink – every day kind of shade.
- Retains it glossiness and shine through the wear time.
- Packaging is unique and screams luxury.
- Classy small bottle, so easy to carry.
- There is no weird smell to it.
- It dries fairly fast.
Cons of Estee Lauder Pink Dragon Pure Color Long Lasting Nail Lacquer:
- It gave only two days of chip-free wear – without the use of base coat or top coat.

This nail paint is definitely not a must-have from the range. If you want to try Estee Lauder nail paints – I would suggest to check out Smashed, Beautiful Liar, and Ballerina Pink instead.
I apologize for the different lengths of my nails – my nails break very easily – always have! Except when I was pregnant and on extra calcium diet. In my current situation, I’m just glad at atleast they were filed into some shape!! 😉
