I am a die-hard fan of IMBB and have been following the blog since the past one year.  This is my second review. Today, I will be reviewing the Estee Lauder Lipstick in Bois De Rose. I am a huge lipstick fan and like to rock shades from bolds to n*des. Estee Lauder is one of my favourite brands for lipsticks.  I got this product as a gift from my sister from USA a long time back. It was a part of an Estee Lauder holiday gift set.This is why the packaging differs from standard Estee Lauder lipsticks. The set also included two other lipstick shades – Tiger Eye and Pink Parfait.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Bois De Rose Long Lasting Lipstick:

The Estee Lauder lipsticks as always are the most luxurious and pretty ones available. Their packaging is all gold which makes it look so much more luxurious. However, their original packaging with the transparent bottom makes it so much more efficient to search for the shade. This has to be one of my most-worn lipsticks. It has a creamy consistency and glides on the lips like a dream. Because of its super creamy and buttery texture, it can melt quite a bit in summers.  I would recommend keeping it in cool places.

This color is a completely daily wear lovely neutral shade.  It is a perfect mix of light mauve rosy pink, coral with gold tones, and some brown. I love how I can wear it lightly for the day time (like it’s my lips but better) and can also transform it completely by layering on its own or with a n*de lip gloss for a bold night look. It is super long wearing and stays put on me for a good 5 -6 hours.

I think true pink or brown lipstick can be a bit tricky to pull off at all occasions, but this shade is somehow sophisticated, despite being so rosy and saturated. If you see the tube, it has slight gold shimmers. However, they are totally gone once the color is on the lips. I am a sucker for matte lips and happy that the shimmer does not show. A very wearable colour that would go with all skin tones – warm or pale. I do not use/don’t have time at all to line before applying a lipstick, but this color does not bleed out or settles in my fine lines.

• Fades to a flattering tint.
• Wearable every day colour.
• Doesn’t bleed.
• Pretty packaging.

Cons of Estee Lauder Pure Color Bois De Rose Long Lasting Lipstick:

• No ingredient list.
• Expensive.
• Overwhelming smell, can be a con for some.
• Has slight shimmer (though not very noticeable).
• Fragile lipstick.

Overall, I am loving this lipstick so much that I am using it occasionally fearing it would get over soon 😛 So many ladies have complimented me when I wear this. Since this is so expensive, I am looking for an inexpensive dupe but either the color would not match or the texture is not that great.  Please suggest in the comments below if you have any recommendations.

Yes, only if I don’t find an inexpensive dupe as good as this one.
