Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick #140 Emotional Review
Wishing all the readers of IMBB a very Happy New Year!! The New Year has begun and so have all our resolutions, which should hopefully last atleast till the 10th of this month! Sharing with you my first FOTD from the new year. It just so happens to be Pantone Color of the Year – Marsala! I’m myself surprised at my choice because when I first heard of this year’s colour, I was like “What???”” Last year’s colour – Radiant Orchid was more up my alley, but I thought let me give Marsala a shot. Do let me know your thoughts on it through comments 🙂

My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick #140 Emotional:
Color: The shade “Emotional” is described as a “warm, rusty brown.” To me, it looks like an earthy red – a shade of marsala – Pantone colour of 2015. The shade has deep intense richness and luminosity. This might well be the shade of the Year 2015 and I definitely see it working in winters. However, I am quite curious to see how this gets incorporated, especially in makeup in the summers.
Texture: As with all previous shades, the texture is lightweight, creamy, glides easily on the lips and hugs them with colour. It does not bleed or feather, which is great for a red shade because it looks ghastly when a red lipstick bleeds. It does not accentuate the fine lines and was hydrating and very comfortable to wear.
Pigmentation: Excellent pigmentation – 100% colour deposit in a single swipe. Love the way it sculpts the lips with full saturated colour deposit.
Lasting Power: As I have mentioned before, the company claims 6 hours of full coverage. The lipstick definitely delivers on the promise and actually lasts a bit longer, leaving a residual stain which gives your lips another couple of hours of wear.
To sum this up for you:

IMBB Rating: 5/5
Honestly, I had not been too excited to be introduced to Marsala, the shade – although I’m open to trying the wine! However, I was pleasantly surprised by the shade on my own lips. To me, it looked sophisticated and flattering. Having said that, I cannot detract from the fact that the quality of Envy lipsticks is such that it truly showcases the colour. Had this been patchy – the same colour would not have seemed too appealing. I am not getting paid by Estee lauder to say this and I wish I were, but you do really have to try these lipsticks.
