Estee Lauder Spiced Cider All-Day Lipstick Review

Ever felt the happiness that comes when you find something in your stash that you had forgotten you ever had. Well that’s how I can describe the feeling when I found this gorgeous thing in my lipstick stash. This was gifted to me last year by a friend, I had totally forgotten that this beauty was lying with me. Oh,Better late than never. Coming to review..

Description:

Price: It was a gift so I didn’t bother.

Packaging:

They say ‘First Impression is the last impression. So in this case the first impression is great. The lipstick comes in a golden plastic casing with vertical lines. The casing is a bit on the heavier side but it still is travel friendly. Who wouldn’t want to carry such a pretty thing in handbag??

My Experience with Estee lauder Spiced Cider All-day Lipstick:

This was a gift from a friend and I am still cross with myself over totally forgetting about it. Happens with me all the time. Anyways, let’s get to know this one.

Shade: It is a red color with brown undertones and some micro shimmer. This is not a dark or vampy color and is apt for both day and evening wear. The micro shimmer lends it a subtle sheen. This is a slightly different version of our good old ‘copper’ shade.

Texture is very creamy.Application is smooth and there is no pulling or tugging. The texture justifies the company’s claims for it to be moisturizing. It indeed is very comfortable and moisturizing to wear. It does not feel heavy on the lips.

Coverage is full. It does not settle in lip lines and does not bleed.

Pigmentation:

One swipe deposits about 70% of the color so it can be built up according to preference and it does not get cakey with multiple swipes. It settles to a creamy finish. The micro-shimmer make it look rather pretty.

Staying power:

Although, I am very pleased with the company’s ‘hours of moisture claim’, ‘hours of wear’ claim is not true or else they should have specified the number of hours. This stayed nicely put up for around 4-5 hours with light snacking which I feel is pretty decent. After a heavy meal, it leaves a nice reddish tint and still looks pretty.
This is a color which will suit all skin tones. It is a lovely wearable copper red color and is easy to pull off. The lip color is very moisturizing and didn’t require a lip balm underneath. I love the way it feels on my lips, very moisturizing and so light. This a keeper for me.
