I am so excited! Why because, I am going on a small trip to Mangalore, Udupi, and Murudeshwar.  I usually make plan to visit some temples on my wedding anniversary and its Udupi this time.  My fourth wedding anniversary falls on November 30th, and yeah, I am not carrying my laptop so that I don’t get bugged to check official mails while I travel 😛 Now, before I go on my trip, I wanted to share my views on the Eva Limited Edition Deo Spray – Sugar and Spice.  Was it a wise buy? Read on further:

My Take on Eva Sugar and Spice Deo Spray:

I was once an ardent lover of Eva sprays, especially the version “Sweet” that comes in an orange colored tin. I then stopped Eva for a long time, and kept trying the other brands. This time, I found these limited edition sprays and I remembered the advertisements I had seen for them and thought why not give it a try and I picked it from a local grocery shop. There were two variants of this limited edition. I don’t remember the name of the other flavor, but it smelled very sporty and I skipped it.

Like all other sprays from Eva, this spray comes in a metal can with a pinkish-orange cap. The spray smells more or less like the talcum powder that came in the late 80’s and early 90’s.I remember using them as a school kid. The smell is very much familiar. It is sort of a mild sweet smell, neither flowery nor fruity smell. The fragrance is very mild and not a heavy one, that would bother sensitive noses. I agree it smells sweet, but spicy?No way, I found the smell being spicy!!

Now, when I was happy for the mild sweet smell, I was totally disappointed with the staying power. I spray it right after my bath, on my clothes and underarms. Within an hour, there is a very little trace of this fragrance.  I never went out in the sun where I would sweat and then complain about the staying power. I used this spray while I went to work and I could barely feel the deo’s fragrance. I do not expect all day freshness, but it should have stayed at least for 4-5 hours.  The product claims to give a fragrance with a twist. A twist?

Pros of Eva Sugar and Spice Deo Spray:

• Packing – looks very girlish.
• Smell – A very mild and pleasant smell, maybe sugary, but definitely not spicy.
• Doesn’t make white patches when sprayed on clothes.
• Does not come at a high price.

Cons of Eva Sugar and Spice Deo Spray:

• Totally disappointed with the staying power, the fragrance stays barely for an hour.

Final Word on Eva Sugar and Spice Deo Spray:

This limited edition deo spray is very mild, smells sweet and feminine, but if you are looking for a spray that keeps you fresh throughout the day, then this is not of that sort. It gives that instant freshness when sprayed, but that lasts for merely an hour and sometimes even less that that.  This spray is such a dud and I regret buying it. I should have been content with my TBS body mists.
