Exuviance Sheer Refining Fluid with SPF 35 Review

Hello friends,
Wish you all a colorful and joyful harvest festival once again! I am going to prepare few sweets today, especially our traditional “Ghughute” for the kid. So, let me share my views about this latest purchase with you all before my little gal wakes up from her nap and makes me run towards kitchen! This is my first skincare purchase from Exuviance. I am not superimpressed with this sheer refining fluid nor do I feel it completely disappointed me, so I have mixed feelings. Let’s read more about it.

My Experience with Exuviance Sheer Refining Fluid with SPF 35:

The sheer refining fluid cum moisturizer comes in an opaque white plastic bottle packaging with a pump dispenser opening sans cap. However, it does have a small knob attached on the opening for preventing accidental leakage. I would have personally appreciated a safety cap though because my toddler always plays with such small things. It does not have any fragrance and it feels bit boring in packaging like medicated creams. Overall, it is quite sleek but not so user friendly or travel friendly packing.

The fluid is described as sheer but it is bit thicker in consistency than my usual moisturizers. Probably its high spf content contributes to its thick creamy texture. Thicker consistency fluids never work for my oily skin as they leave a bit shiny layer on my skin. And this sheer refining fluid is no exception as I see a shiny layer post massaging it onto my skin which does not feel slippery or oily in touch but it makes my face shiny overall which is matter of concern. I need two pumps of this fluid for my face and neck and while I like how it effortlessly absorbs into my skin, I hate that shiny finish. Thankfully, it did not break me out nor did it aggravate my oily acne prone skin. I did feel positive changes in my dry cheeks as they felt smoother with every usage but as expected it could not help me with pore size or refining my skin texture. I had to always follow up with a matte powder and/or Clinique powder makeup to buff away shiny layer and I could not notice any significant difference in pore size.

I was quite happy to get higher SPF coverage and it certainly helps with sun protection as I see lesser sun burns these days but then my face does not look clean or shine free at all. I feel like using oil blotting papers or powder within an hour of wearing this fluid which also tells that it has poor or nil oil control property. I think this formula and finish will suit normal dry skin beauties as they need dewy shiny look; plus it helps with dry patches, ageing spots really well; it may suit combination dry skin too but for oily skin beauties, it is really tricky. In fact my skin type falls in combination skin type in winters yet I feel uncomfortable after using this fluid so I am sure it is a skip for me even in summers.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Exuviance Sheer Refining Fluid with SPF 35?
I need to recommend it to beauties with dry parched skin or gals seeking high SPF protection; others please skip it. Personally, I won’t get it again. I feel it is so pricey for just being a good dry weather sunscreen for me.
