I’m back with another makeup review. I hope you guys aren’t getting sick of me! I love playing around with makeup like any other girl, but I also love trying new brands. I signed up for this makeup sample box here in Canada called the luxebox. You basically pay $14 to receive makeup samples. In my summer edition luxebox, I received this eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner and surprisingly it was a full sized product. I was so excited to try it out because I haven’t had much luck with eyeliners. I’ve noticed that on my eyes, black is way too harsh so I was a bit bummed out when I received this eyeko eyeliner in the colour black. However I was surprised as to how nice it looked after I applied it. I guess it just depends on the type of brush the eyeliner has because the other ones I tried out were either too thick or thin and either didn’t have enough product or the eyeliner would just spill out on to your eyelids and you would look like a hot mess.
I believe if you want to purchase eyeko products you can only do so on their website. I highly doubt the company’s products are available at Sephora just yet, I go there frequently and haven’t seen the brand anywhere, which is a bit disappointing. All of the currency is in uk pounds, but if you use a currency converter you can easily match the price to whatever currency system your country uses. The best part about eyeko is that they do offer free worldwide shipping after you spend $55, so I would suggest you buy in bulk if you don’t want to pay for shipping.
Pros of Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
Liquid eyeliner: I think I speak on behalf of every girl on this planet when I say liquid eyeliner is truly the best. You can’t go wrong with it. I feel that with pencil eyeliners, the design and liner eventually disappear because of the oils in your lid, and yes even with primer it does vanish. The safest makeup you can wear on your lids and you know it won’t is liquid eyeliner. It just stays in place for several hours and it doesn’t vanish even if you have oil lids or whatnot.
The brush: I love the brush, it’s long and not too think but its not that thick either. It’s perfect because you can get both thick and thin designs on your lids with no trouble at all. If you’re looking for a decent eyeliner then I’d highly recommend this liner.
Cons of Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
I honestly can’t think of any cons for this product. It’s reasonable priced, it works well, it looks great, I just have no problems with it at all. The only issue I have is that I don’t think it’s available at Sephora just yet so if you want to purchase this liner, you’ll have to fork over $55 to spend at Eyeko in order to get free shipping, and I think I would much rather spend $55 in products than pay $16 for the eyeliner and another $20 or more just for shipping on one product. Shipping rates are really ridiculous so I’d just recommend everyone be careful and think about your decision before you purchase an item from the site. Think carefully about how much money you would like to spend!
