My first dazzler product review on IMBB. I was browsing through Elle 18 reviews and few low priced cosmetics online and dazzler caught my eye. Few marriages were coming up and I thought it would be the perfect gift for someone to give two or three good shades of these babies since its light on the pocket. Today I will be reviewing a lipstick from Dazzler. I saw two different ranges on at 65 rs and other at 100 rs. This is the former one.
Rs. 65/- for 4 gm (net weight) so dirt cheap
It comes in a transparent white plastic and gold packaging. Extremely sturdy and the caps are tight enough so it can be carried easily. You can see the colour easily as well. They have colour palettes kind of a thing with cute lip shaped cases filled with these lip sticks. These are the testers so you can try the colour and then get the lipstick. They are sealed so unless you pay for it, it’s not allowed to open and test.
It’s sort of saffron orange very much like the color you see in our national flag. It has brown undertones in it and tends to look brownish on lip balms. The swatch I got here is without the balm and in natural light. It’s a really pretty with good pigmentation as well. It covered my lips completely after number of swipes.
It’s neither creamy nor matte. It tends to sit in the fine lines and kind of clogs when not applied without stretching out your lips first. It’s drying as well after sometime. It starts fading gradually losing the colour first and then leaves its tint back. After losing the colour, it’s not that drying. I was in an AC environment so I really can’t exactly tell but when I use it again I’ll let u know in comments.
It stays little more than 2 hours if not swallowed or eaten with anything. It starts clogging after one and half hour or so.
It has some kind of a milk chocolate fragrance like milky bar. It’s different. I don’t mind but some may not find it appealing and after it’s starts fading and completely fades leaving it bland with no taste as well.
Pros of Dazzler Lipstick Shade 612:
1. Excellent colour.
2. Good pigmentation.
3. Gives almost full coverage as you can see.
4. Light on pocket.
5. Cute packaging as well and while you choose you see tiny lips filled with this colour which the SA will apply on hand with a cotton bud. Oh that chart is enough actually for a year so without the lipsticks. So cute really.
Cons of Dazzler lipstick 612:
1. Staying power.
2. Sits in the lines and clogs when not applied properly.
3. Drying if not applied on a lip balm and even then dries up after sometime.
4. The fragrance of milk chocolate might not appeal to everyone. No taste and fragrance too fades along with colour.
3.5/5 (I am giving the rating for what I am getting at the price, it may differ for others)
Would I recommend Dazzler lipstick 612?
For the product I got for Rs. 65 it is not so bad. It can be used as an experiment to know various colors and good to gift since it’s not you using this 😉 . The hundred rupees ones are better. I will review soon. But I prefer Elle 18 over these. Since it’s not me who is going to use this I really don’t mind at all.
