FabIndia Green Tea Moisturizer Review

FabIndia Green Tea Moisturizer Review

Hello Guys,

I am very happy to share my latest find with you, the newest addition to the FabIndia moisturizer family. I just picked it up impulsively 2 weeks back when I saw this at a FabIndia showroom. Having read no reviews or anything about this, I just went with my gut instinct and inherent faith in the FabIndia brand.

FabIndia Green Tea Moisturizing lotion

I am happy I picked it up as it is one of the lightest moisturizers I have used ever. It is pretty new, so it has not been updated yet on the FabIndia site. However, it is available in FabIndia outlets and on urbantouch.com.

Here’s How it is Described:

This nourishing lotion with green tea extract is light in texture and gets easily absorbed. It leaves your skin smooth and supple.

Quantity and Price:

200 ml for a price of INR 225 only.

I have oily, acne-prone skin that tends to get very dry, itchy and red with the use of my regular Vicco Turmeric Cream these days. I guess it’s the change in weather and with the humidity going out of the air, my skin becomes parched sooner than it used to. That is where this moisturizer comes in. The product is light enough to be used as many times a day as you want. You can also use it if you have already used a moisturizer since its consistency is more like a serum. A nice nozzle packing that is very convenient is the cherry on the cake.

Typically, I don’t like layering products because my skin is sensitive and can’t take it, but in this case, it doesn’t seem to mind and instead drinks up this moisturizer like a glass of water.

Key Ingredients:

Purified water, glycerine, glyceryl mono stearate, sesame oil, isopropyl palmitate, dimethicone, cetyl alcohaol, gren tea extract, emulsifying wax, aloe evera gel, imid urea, xanthon gum, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, vitamin e acetate, triethanolamine, carbomer.

As you can see, it is not an oil-free moisturizer. That would usually be an alarm for most breakout-prone people. However, these days, an oil-free moisturizer is just not cutting it. The skin needs nourishment and oil and this seems to be doing a good job. I like the fact that it has green tea, vitamin E and aloe vera, all three of which are anti-oxidants. The glycerine and sesame oil do the moisturizing. The texture of the cream is very light.

Pros of FabIndia Green Tea Moisturizer:

  • I love the way the moisturizer nourishes my skin without making it feel heavy. It just vanishes into the skin and doesn’t dry it out.
  • Value for money.
  • Very easy and hygienic to use.
  • Good for the current in-between weather.
  • Easily available.
  • No greasiness or oiliness.
  • Absorbs very well, skin feels hydrated.
  • Can be used under, over or with another moisturizer. Blends in easily as a layering product.

Cons of FabIndia Green Tea Moisturizer:

  • My pimples have been coming and going for a while now.  So, while using this, I have had 3 pimples as well. I don’t want to really blame the product because it could very well be something else, but it does make me wonder if it was this product.
  • No other con.

Rating:

4/5 (I think I am deducting a point because I am unhappy with my pimples, not because of the product).

Will I Buy it Again?

I want to try the aloe vera moisturizing lotion for oily skin, which has been unavailable everywhere. If not, I will probably buy this again.
