Faceclin Acne Gel

Hello ladies, today I have got a easiest solution to all your pimple problems. I will review about medical gel called Faceclin. I have been using this for over a year now, and can’t thank it enough. So let’s get started with the wonder this product offers.
Faceclin Acne Gel
Product Description:

It is manufactured under the brand name of Abbott, which is a very well known pharmacy brand. This gel is composed of two primary ingredients- Cindamycin & Nicotinamide
Cindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic with primarily bacteriostatic action against Gram positive aerobes and wide range of anaerobic bacteria.
Niacin (nicotinic acid) is an essential B complex Vitamin (B3) whose deficiency results in the clinical syndrome known as pellagra. Niacinamide (Nicotinamide) is the physiologically active form of Niacin.
Ingredients: Cindamycin Phosphate BP, Nicotinamide IP. In Aloe, Allotoin base with ethyl lactate q.s

Dosage:

Adults & children above 12 years.

I shall mention the form in which the manufacturer advises to apply this gel:

Apply a thin film of gel to the affected area, only after thoroughly washing the skin with soap. Enough gel should be used to cover the affected area (this is most important, dab sufficient amount of gel on the can) I will advise to leave it overnight and see the difference next morning.

Shelf life: 24 months

Caution: keep away from eyes and mouth or any other mucous membrane.

My Experience with Faceclin :

I came across this gel through my sister’s friend. A year back I had been fed of acne issues & this came as a rescuer for me and how *happydance* First let me tell you, I have combination- oily skin and in my mid twenties. This gel can be used for any skin type and age group above 12 years. I have not been prescribed to use it by any doctor, I have been using it over a year now and very satisfied with the results it offers. In case you need to be sure, please feel free to consult your doctor and then use it.

This comes in a white tube packaging, with a toothpaste type look. The gel is absolutely clear and colorless. The tube is packed with I apply it at bed time, right after washing my face with face wash, I don’t use soap on my face. On application, I don’t feel any irritation or burning sensation. I apply sufficient amount on the unwanted pimples. That’s all, after this I simply do nothing and sleep. Next morning when I get up, I see magic, it reduces considerably. Let me tell you, I have used many cosmetic pimple reducers also, but none of them live up to their claim E.g. Garnier pure pen, and some product from Avon.

This is by far the best product to reduce and make acne disappear. I had a white head kind of big pimple right in the middle of my forehead, in between the two eyebrows. It was big and had puss too. I applied Faceclin 2 nights and it vanished. This gel is not only my favorite, but my siblings use it too. Including my teenaged brother, who has acne attack all throughout the year.

• Full ingredient list mentioned & each is described so well.
• Pimples become history in a matter of 2 nights ;)

Cons of Faceclin:

• Contact with eyes /mouth can cause irritation.

Do I Recommend Faceclin?

A big big big YES. To everyone who wants quick magic and get rid of those unwanted devils. :P

Seems like a great product but I have a few questions..
Will it irritate sensitive skin? Does it help in getting rid of pimples filled with pus and redness? Does it lead to scarring by any chance?

Sorry for asking so many questions but I’m just fed up of buying products that don’t work on my pimples and realising I’ve wasted so much money.

If I may add here, because a lot of Indian ladies read the blog, Clindamycin is a category B drug in pregnancy. So, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy, I would suggest you consult a doctor or your dermatologist/gynae before using topical clindamycin preparations. Also, if you are suffering from IBD, which is fairly common in Indian population, again please consult your doctor. :)
And yes, otherwise this drug is really great and works miracles for some people with acne, but as a precaution, please consult a doctor before using this. :)
