Faces Creme Perfection Foundation Review

Hi IMBBians!!

Here is my second review!!

I’m not a foundation person as I feel my face is too made up then. But after following IMBB for months now, I finally decided to start with the base of makeup-Foundation and concealer and treat myself with a good brand on my birthday. I was really confused between Colorbar and Faces foundation. I tried them both and spent at least an hour with each in and out of mall to see how it behaves with and without AC and finally decided to go with Faces. SA in store told me that it’s a 3 in 1-foundation, concealer and powder. Although price was little on higher side compared to Colorbar but I was getting 3 in one product and it was my Birthday so I decided to take a plunge and risk my face and money with it. Here is my 5 months experience with it.

Faces creme foundation

Claim on website:

This unique, all-day coverage crème to powder foundation instantly softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and delivers a perfectly natural finish. It is great for a wide range of skin types. It is a Mineral-based product and is talc and paraben free.

Crème Perfection contains two amazing active ingredients, known for their targeted intervention: Dermaxyl, for its anti-aging, wrinkle-reducing effect, and Collagen Tripeptide, which stimulates the collagen. It also contains a potent anti-infammatory ingredient that promotes cell reproduction and heals the skin with its distinct sunscreen activity.

To apply Crème Perfection, you can use the sponge provided to blend into the skin. You can layer this product for maximum coverage and it will not look cakey or artificial.

Price:

INR 1199 (10g/0.35oz) OR $30

Shades and Packaging:

In India it comes in 2 shades 602 and 603. However, on international website it’s available in 6 shades (602, 603, 651, 652, 653 and 654). I went with 603. It comes in a round shiny black container with a silver notch. The container is expensive looking and you don’t have to worry about breaking or cracking the lid when you keep it in your purse. It has a mirror inside just like other compacts and compartment with holes below for sponge to breathe. The back mentions the shade number.

Ingredients:

Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate; Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate; Cetyl Ricinoleate; Ozokerite; Cera Alba (Beeswax); Nylon-12; Polymethyl Methacrylate; Dimethicone; Lanolin Anhydrous; Zea Mays (Corn) Starch/Hydrolized Corn Starch/Cocamidopropyl Dimethylamine/Glycerine/Lauryl Laurate/Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5; C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate/Tribehenin/Ceramide-2/PEG-10 Rapeseed Sterol/Palmitoyl Oligopeptide; Natural Fragrance. MAY CONTAIN (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) Iron Oxides (CI 77491/CI 77492/CI 77499), Chromium Oxide Green (CI77288), Ultramarines (CI 77288), Mica (CI 77091).

My experience Faces Creme Perfection Foundation:

As the name suggests its texture is creamy, pigmented, smooth and soft. It gives medium coverage, doesn’t look cakey  at all and blends like a dream. I have tried this product on my face in hot weather in Mumbai as well as extreme cold winter in Boston and I love it! Although in winters I have to add little more moisturizer on my face to avoid dryness. I have a combination sensitive skin so have to be extra careful to avoid breakouts. The overall look is good and my face looks natural and fresh all the time I have it on. It works great as foundation and concealer under my eyes but I don’t understand how we can use it just as compact powder so as per me it’s just 2 in 1 product. It can be easily applied with fingers, brush or the puff which comes with it.

foundation face

As it’s difficult to understand the product by just looking at swatches, I have applied the product on my face as well. Below are the hand swatches and application on face.

Pros of Faces Creme Perfection Foundation:

1. Creamy texture so it’s easier to blend.
2. No strong smell
3. Has sunscreen, anti-aging and wrinkle reducing properties.
4. Mineral based and paraben free.
5. Convenient packaging so you can carry it in your purse and has mirror for easy application.
6. Suits sensitive and combination skin
7. Long lasting and doesn’t break you out (I had it on almost all day on my face)

Cons of Faces Creme Perfection Foundation:

1. Limited availability as it’s not available online anywhere and Faces stores are not there in every city.
2. Only 2 lighter shades are available in India so people with dark complexion cannot use it.
I really can’t think of any other cons. I really love it. It’s a great product!! Will definitely buy it again once I finish this one which will take years as very small amount is used on every application!!!

IMBB Rating:

5/5
