Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Sparkling Wine Review

I was just checking my posts when I realized that I have completed over 100 posts on IMBB! It has been a wonderful 7 months and I have learnt a lot! 🙂 So coming to the review, it is a lipstick from Faces that I love these days!

My Take on Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Sparkling Wine:

Packaging: Nothing beats black! The tube is a very classic black with silver accents. The details like ingredients, shelf life, and shade name are mentioned on the outer packaging.

The black tube is a treat to the eyes. The cap shuts with a satisfying click telling you that you can toss it into your bag.

Shade: Sparkling Wine is a beautiful reddish-orange with fine shimmer. The shimmers are visible to the eyes, but they do not look over the top on the lips. This shade will suit almost all skin tones and it brightens up my face.

Texture and Pigmentation:  I love the smooth texture; it glides easily on the lips without tug or pull. I like to wear this mostly as a tint by blotting and it looks gorgeous that way too. Pigmentation is not that great, but it can be easily built up considering the shade is on the darker side. It easily covers up lip pigmentation. The problem with this lipstick is that it tends to accentuate lines and will highlight the flakiness. So, the lips need to be properly exfoliated prior to application. It is not very moisturizing and sometimes my lips feel a little dry.

Staying Power:  The lipstick when blotted lasts for about 3.5 hours without meals with fading that’s even. Otherwise, it lasts up to 3 hours since it tends to transfer. It does not survive meals completely, but the shimmer is left behind which is noticeable. Since I like to blot it as it saves me the transferring pain, I am satisfied with how long it stays.

Lastly, it is an apt shade for both day and night time and would be a gorgeous selection for festive occasions when you want to take a break from striking reds.

Cons of Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Sparkling Wine:

• Transfers to cups.
• Tends to highlight lip lines and dry flakes if lips are not exfoliated properly.
• I found it slightly drying.
