Faces Lip Pencil 038 Chocolate

How are you all doing….Today I am going to review a lip liner that I had picked a few months back but just didn’t get enough time to review it due to the changing weather conditions and with an infant to take care of, its certainly a tedious task.
Ok now on to the lip liner that I was talking about is the Faces lip pencil 038 – chocolate. I had been on the lookout for a nice dark brown lip liner to match with my wide collection of brown lippies and I have finally found one.
Price: Rs 299 for 1.2gms. Earlier the price was 249 but recently the price has been increased to 299.
Packaging, Color and Texture: Comes as a black pencil with a matte finish black cap with the pencil color at the base which is differentiated by a thin silver band. The color is exactly brown and not just any ordinary brown, a beautiful dark brown and resembles exactly like coffee beans. Yeah I mean that dark that it almost looks black but isn’t. The texture is creamy and you get that defined line with just one stroke, just what one looks for in a lip pencil.
Ingredients: Octyldodecyl, Stearoyl Stearate, Cera Carnauba ( Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax ). Hydrogenated palm kernel Glycerides, Synthetic Beeswax, Myristyl lactate, Candelilla Cera (Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) wax, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Dimethiconol Behenate, Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax).Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides,Polymethyl Methacrylate, Polyglyceryl-2oleate, Ethylparaben, Sorbic Acid, BHT, Cl77499 (Iron Oxides), Cl77491 (Iron Oxides).
My experience with Faces lip pencil-Chocolate
I really like the dark bold outline that this lip pencil provides. The color might be too bold for a few but I feel it works well for my dusky complexion. I wouldn’t dare use the color on its own as its a tad too dark for me. Who would like to have their mouth covered with dark chocolate unless you are dressing up for a haloween party. When defined and blended slightly with the lip color it looks beautiful but one must know how to make proper use of such dark colors else they might give a wrong message out.A single stroke is enough to get the color, one swipe and you are done.
Since the formula is creamy the tip becomes blunt very quickly and requires frequent sharpening. I also use it to mix along with lighter shades of lip colors to get a mix of shades to match my outfits.

Cons
• The shade might be too dark for some.
• Cannot be used on its own.
• Requires frequently sharpening.
Swatches:
All in all its a nice color for those who prefer to have dark shade and I am certainly picking it up. Would recommend to try it at the store in natural light before picking it up.

what!! is dis shade meant for lips?? i thought its for eyes.. 😛 but hats off u managed to pull off this shade really gracefully & beautifully
Thank you Neetu. That was such a sweet compliment. Actually my lips are a bit dark as my complexion so normal colors hardly show up. I use this only to outline and then blend it a little and top with a gloss or balm. But had this one been for eyes it would look gorgeous na :):)
