I am not much of a makeup junkie and pick my products after a lot of research and swear by the reviews from friends here on IMBB.  I don’t wear much makeup; kajal and lip balm does the trick for me during day time and eye makeup (mostly smokey eyes) work well for the evenings. Having a lot of evening functions round the corner and having already exhausted my mascara (since I had not used it for a few months and it had clumped up badly), I was looking out for a product which would give nice coverage to my lashes.  I stumbled upon a small but lovely store of Faces, caved besides a coffee shop that I had been to with my girlfriends. Frankly, I had not heard much about Faces till then, but I don’t know what made me take up this chance of trying something new.

Lengthening and thickening mascara. Well-designed brush works between lashes to separate while thickening. Great for sensitive eyes or contact lens users.  Faces Lush Lash Mascara is enriched with intense black pigments that give you an exceptionally luminous lash lengthening and a glossy look. It thickens and lengthens the lashes with each application.

Ingredients and Packaging:

I have lost the outer cover, which had the ingredients list. The packaging was simple yet attractive with a black paper box encasing the product.

My Experience with Faces Lush Lash Mascara:

My earlier experiences with mascara were never pleasant, as my eyelids always felt a bit heavy after application which gave way to headaches when worn for a longer duration. So, I have been a little hesitant in wearing mascara for not-so-formal evenings and saved it only for occasions.

To my surprise, the Lush Lash mascara is very light on the lashes and I don’t get that tired feeling at all. The next good thing I felt was that it doesn’t clump or give the lashes a sticky look even on applying 2 coats. I got this sometime in April for functions that were to begin from May, the hottest month in Delhi. It was good to see how it doesn’t budge from its place, even in the most humid times. I can say it is good for people wearing contact lenses, as I have never felt any strange reaction or itching with this on. Also, it does not gather on the lid of the bottle, which my earlier mascara was prone to.

Faces Lush Lash does give the lashes a lot of volume as it promises and opens up the eyes well. However, I have noticed that applying more than 2-3 coats gives way to a little messy look. It has a faint smell of the Lakme liquid eyeliner (I could not think of anything better to relate), which does not bother me.

The product claims to produce a deep and luminous effect, though I am not sure what luminous means in context of mascara 😐

I am comfortable wearing this mascara for evening outs with friends and family as this is very light and makes me happy for trying something new as I hardly wear makeup.  Removing this mascara is a task, as I guess is the case with most eye products. I use olive oil to remove my makeup, and it come off well without leaving any residue behind.

Pros of Faces Lush Lash Mascara:

• Gives a nice voluminous effect.
• Doesn’t clump.
• The applicator brush works well for both upper and lower lashes.
• Doesn’t irritate sensitive skin or contact lens users.
• Feels feather light (a big plus for me).
• Doesn’t gather at the top of the bottle.
• Doesn’t dry up quickly.

Cons of Faces Lush Lash Mascara:

• Somewhat pricey at Rs. 449/-
• A little messy while removing.
• Not waterproof (though I found it to be waterproof as per my experience).

Final Verdict:

On the whole, I would give the Faces Lush Lash thumbs up and would definitely repurchase it. I found it very good and surely would recommend to all you beautiful ladies.
