Faces Upper Canada Fruit Frappe Dry Body Oil Review

Faces Upper Canada Fruit Frappe Dry Body Oil

Hello pretties,

Thanks to my nature of trying out new products, I have a very unique product for review today. This is a dry oil from the house of Upper Canada. I picked this up as a random product from the Faces store in a mall and here is my view on the dry oil.

Price: Rs 699/- for 300ml

The packaging of the product is not only attractive but also handy. Though a 300ml bottle might seem bulky but the plastic body helps to use it without fear of dropping and breaking. The spray nozzle dispenser is protected with a transparent cap. I will not say this is travel friendly but if you really wish to carry you have transfer it to a smaller travel size bottle.

The oil is bi-phased which has to be shaken well to mix up. The oil portion is lime green in color which gives the freshness to the product. the concept of dry oil is new to me and I must admit that I am really liking this a lot. The extreme hot and humid climate of Chennai has made my skin behave weird. It tends to sweat a lot but gets super dry at times. I have normal skin but the stretchy feel at times in really uncomfortable.

Instead of picking up a lotion I decided to try this unique product. I have used this as a night time treat to the skin and also as pre-bath oil. On the days I have used it alone I felt a bit greasy. But as pre-bath oil it is an awesome product. It makes the skin super soft and touchable smooth. There is no oily feel or residue after bath. The lotion after bath can be skipped without a second thought when this is used pre-bath.

The oil smells awesome. Those who love fruity smell will be hooked on to this. I am not lover of fruity fragrance but this smells so refreshing that I really like this especially for the summers. The added advantage is the smell lingers for a while and hence you get the benefit of moisture and light refreshing fragrance in one product.

I am really enjoying the new concept of dry oil and plan to look out for other variants and other brands as well. If you have access to faces counters in your city do not miss picking this up. There are 3 more variants with the same concept but other fragrances. Totally digging this product this summer.

  1. Wow dry oil! that’s new to me *shy* what are the benefits of this dry oil Rashmita? I did not quite understand its use *shy* can you explain? 🙂

  2. I too like this body oil, however I would strongly recommend taking any upper canada(faces) imported only after checking the expiry date!
I bought a dry oil which is about to expire in 6 months..it was imported 3 yrs back!!! and bought another hand cream which was already expired!! I wish i had checked the expiry date! 🙁

Also another con: dry oil may make skin a lil sticky during rainy season!
