Festive Eye Makeup Tutorial
By Jyotsna from Beauty and Makeup Studio
Hey Pretty ladies,
How are the Diwali Celebrations going on? I wish a very Happy and Safe Diwali to the entire IMBB Team and all the amazing ladies out here! Today I am going to share an eye make up tutorial that looks great for the evening time. So, let’s start:
Products Used:
- Lakme Eye Brow Pencil.
- ELF Brow Gel.
- Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer.
- Shahnaz Husain Kajal.
- Sleek Sunset Palette.
- Maybelline Colossal Kajal.
- Vega Eye Lash Curler.
- Maybelline Colossal Water Proof Mascara.
- L’Oreal Carbon Gloss Super Liner.
- Eco Tools Eye Shadow Brush.
- Vega Blending Brush.
- Faces Eye Shadow/Blending Brush.
Step 1: Always start with a clean base, I usually use baby wipes to clean the eye area and follow up with a light eye cream that sinks into the skin pretty fast so that there is no dryness or patchiness around the eye area (if you have very oily lids, pat some loose powder).
Step 2: Fill in the brows as per your requirement. I used eye brow pencil here and set it with an eye brow gel.
Step 3: Use a primer so that the eye make up will last long and also the colors will show up much more vibrant. Also, the primer helps in sealing the eye shadows so that they don’t crease after a while.
Step 4: Use a kohl or a black pencil liner and use it as a base. Just keep it close to lash line without crossing the crease.
Step 5: Smudge the black base evenly all over the lid.
Step 6: Now, apply a teal eye shadow all over the eye lid area.
Step 7: Use a pale gold eye shadow to highlight the inner corner(tear duct) and also the brow bone. (You can use a pale/silver eye shadows if you like, I prefer gold shade as it bring out the warmth on our Indian skin tones).
Step 8: Now, take a black eye shadow and using a blending brush/or a flat eye shadow brush, apply it on the outer v area and in the crease to add depth to the look.
Step 9: Blend…… Blend ……Blend!!!!!!! Use a blending brush for this purpose in order to avoid the harsh edges.
Step 10: Clean the fall outs and apply the concealer. Apply kohl/kajal on the water line and smudge it along the lower lash line using the black eye shadow for better longevity and to avoid smudging.
Step 11: Apply eye liner on the upper lash line. You can use a liquid eye liner or pencil/gel liner and smudge it to add that smokiness to the entire look. (I prefer liquid liner as I find it easy to work with it!)
Step 12: Curl your lashes and apply 2-3 coats of mascara. If you are comfortable using fake lashes, go ahead and add those for a more dramatic look!
That’s it, we are done and this is the final look!
I would prefer using nude shade lipstick as we have too much going on the eyes, but if you prefer deep shades go ahead, after all its the festive season!
