First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask Review

Big thank you to IMBB for letting me try out this product!

I have heard so much about the brand First Aid Beauty. All the beauty bloggers and YouTube makeup gurus have been raving about this skin care brand for the past few months. Of course, I wanted to see what all the hype was about and went out to try a product of theirs. My skin always tends to look flushed and red all the time. I don’t like covering the redness with makeup because right now it’s summer in Texas, and I don’t want that heavy feeling all the time. I am in a dire need to find a skin care product to help reduce the redness on my face. I thought this face mask would be perfect for me for the claims it makes and the great reviews I have heard from this brand.

My Experience with First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask:

The packaging of this product is quite small than what I had imagined. It comes in a regular, plastic squeeze tube. Since this is a thick mask, a lot is needed to cover the entire face. I have used this mask twice and I feel as if I have used at least ¼th of it already. When applying the mask, it feels a bit different. The mask doesn’t have a smooth texture; there are tiny oatmeal granules you can feel. There is a light scent to it, the way I can describe it is that it smells similar to Aveeno products. I applied a pretty thick layer to my skin and waited about 15 minutes. After washing off the mask, I noticed that my skin did feel more hydrated.

It is a very mild and sensitive mask that didn’t make my skin to get dry or irritated. I have noticed that my skin isn’t as red, but the redness hasn’t completely gone. I assume after using this for a few more times, I will really be able to notice the difference. I also enjoy the fact that this product is free of parabens and any harsh chemicals. The more natural the product, the better it is for irritated and red skin. I also found my skin to be soft and plump afterwards which is great! Whenever I use clay masks, my face feels clean afterwards, but also very dry and parched. This mask gave me the clean feeling, but luckily it didn’t dry out my skin.

I do like this product, but I probably will not repurchase it again. It is a great mask for sensitive skin and I do like it, but not LOVE it. The price is also quite an issue for me. I don’t mind paying high prices for great skin care, but with $22 dollars, I probably can get about 5 uses of this mask. The results were nice, but I have tried other face masks which did the same job and gave me the WOW factor. If you are someone who has tried other face masks for sensitive skin and they haven’t worked out well for you, I would suggest giving this a try. But to anyone else, I would advise you to pass on this product and try something else from this brand.
