Before I start, I would like to talk about my skin type – I have oily and acne-prone skin which is sensitive. I have pores on my face as well. I don’t know exactly how to describe my complexion, so I have attached a picture of myself. 🙂
I never used to experiment a lot with products before, but sometimes for special occasions like a date or family gatherings, I use Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish foundation and over that Lakme Perfect Radiance Whitening compact. But Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse makes my cheeks super shiny and oily by the end of the day and the Lakme compact hasn’t worked at all to control the oil on my face. By the end of the day, my face looks like a oily battleground *headbang* So, I am here to ask the IMBB team to suggest me some good foundations and compact powder. Please suggest a foundation and Compact that can be used for work as well as for occasions. I want the best foundation and compact for occasions and for work it can be something which is less expensive but still give me a oil-free dewy face 🙂 I want a foundation and compact that:
1)Stays put throughout the day
2) Doesn’t accentuate my pores
3)Photographs well
4) Need coverage to am extent. ( on days my skin misbehaves 😛 )

Princy…..MAC’s studio fix foundation and compact and the second one would be clinique’s even better compact. Another good one is REvlon’s colorstay or photoready foundation.

and you said Mac Studio Fix right? There is Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation as well as Mac Studio Fix powder plus foundation nah *scared* Which one is better? *scared* And Clinique’s even better compact sounds perfect but in your review you said it stays for maximum 5 hrs *scared*

Princy…..you want coverage for more than 5 hours kya *shock* ….for me, it’s a great time. I don’t wear foundation for long on my skin even if its non-comedogenic. Both fluid foundation and compact are good.

I used to use revlon colorstay and it used to look terribly white and shiny in photos. Though it has only SPF 6.. *shock*

Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation is an awesome budget option. Use it along with the Revlon photoready perfecting primer and you are set.
I have skin exactly like yours and this combination stays on me for good 6-8 hours when topped up with compact (maybelline clear glow compact).
6-8 hours is amazing VS *woot* I will definitely check it at the store *happydance* *thankyou* so much! and one more question- has Revlon Photoready foundation plus Maybelline Clear Glow compact ever caused acne on you? *scared*
I somehow think that the compact is more important than the foundation. I mean a good foundation is a must but a compact that will help the makeup stay put for 6 to 8 hrs is useful. Try the MAC skin finish mineralize. Pretty awesome stuff.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid is a heavy foundation. not for every day use. you would need to use compact on top of it.
sinc eyou have oily skin max studio fix compact is a good option.MSF does not have oil control properties. It rather adds a little glow to the skin.

Makeup up forever Hd foundation!!! Is so nice! Also nars sheer glow or matte works great! I suggest using Mac oil control lotion underneath your foundation to help with the pores and oily skin 🙂 *happydance*

I think bourjois healthy mix foundation and mac studio fix foundation is great for photos.
Princey, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish foundation contains jojoba oil though it is an aqua based moisturizer but it makes skin so oily, i have used it, it turned grey, oily and accentuated my pores…
Try revlon, MAC, Estee Lauder…or norman merley….
or if you want to try in drugstores then try for covergirl or Bourjois 123…
