Make Funky Neck Piece with Seeds: Do It Yourself

Make Funky Neck Piece with Seeds: Do It Yourself

Hi Beauties,

Make Funky Neck Piece with Seeds Do It Yourself

I have been missing on IMBB since the last few days due to my exams and believe me, I never hated exams more! Grrr! I totally missed you people and from today a series of pending articles will come your way ๐Ÿ˜€ Christmas is round the corner and we all know it is a season of gifts. I love making handmade jewellery and today I am going to teach you how to make a cool neck piece out of chikoo seeds! You can make one for yourself and gift some to your friends too. ย So, letโ€™s get on with it quickly. The things you will need are:

Things Needed

1. Washed seeds from chikoo fruits.
2. Any small piece of hard paper (I used the tags we get in the airports for attaching to our bags :P).
3. A small piece of wire.
4. Fevi quick or any other strong glue.
5. Colorful beads. I have used wooden beads mainly
6. Threads of four colors (you can use as many colors as you wish to).
7. Scissors and tweezers.
8. Black nail paint.

Procedure:

Step 1: ย Draw a circle on the hard paper and cut it out.

Step 2:

4

5

Apply fevi quick on the paper circle and place the seeds on it in the shape of a flower. Be very careful in this step as the strong glue can stick your fingers to the paper.

Step 3:

6

Now, hold a flat wooden bead with a tweezer and apply glue on one of its side. I will suggest you definitely use a tweezer for this step as the glue can spill from the sides of the tiny bead to your fingers. Place this bead on top of the seed flower.

Step 4:

7

8

Take a small piece of wire and make a loop with it. ย Now, attach the loop at the back of the paper circle with fevi quick and paste some duct tape over it to further secure it.

Step 5:

9

10

Now, take the colored threads in the length you want your neck piece to be and pass them through the loop. Do take a longer length than your desired one as braiding tends to shorten the length considerably.

Step 6:

11

12

Take a big circular bead and pass all the threads through it. This will give some weight to your otherwise light pendant.

Step 7:

14

15

Now, divide the threads in equal halves and put the other beads through the strands. I have used this particular design. You may use any colored beads or any design which catches your fancy.

Step 8:

16

Once you have finished putting through all the beads, tie a tight knot and start braiding the threads.

Step 9:

After finishing braiding on both sides, tie a knot to secure it.

Step 10:

Finally, take black nail paint and paint all the portions of hard paper peeping out through the pendant.

Ta-daa! We are done! ๐Ÿ˜€

Wear it yourself or gift them to your friends, nieces or anyone close and spread smiles! ย See you with the next article soon!
