Sunscreen is one necessary skin care product when you want to fight tan and wrinkles. I recently read that most of the wrinkles are caused by exposure to the sun. I never really thought about sunscreen till then. Now, I have been stacking up sunscreen products. Today’s review is on Garnier Ambre Solaire UV Sport Sun Protection Lotion SPF 30. So, read on:

My Experience with Garnier Ambre Solaire UV Sport Sun Protection Lotion SPF 30:

One of the reasons that I picked up this sunscreen was because I was travelling to the Hot Mediterranean Portugal and Spain and I would be indulging in some water activities and wanted something to protect me against the sweat and prevent breakouts as almost with all sunscreen, I experience break outs!

The sunscreen comes in a tube packaging. The colors are white and orange similar to the sunscreen range. The tube has a flip cap and the cap is good and the tube is travel friendly. The sunscreen cream is thick, creamy and white in color. The smell is very sporty and fresh. The cream is a little bit thick and takes time to get absorbed into the skin. So, if you have to put makeup on and everything, you need to have a lot of time in hand. It does leave a white cast initially, but gets absorbed in 1-2 minutes into the skin.

After it gets absorbed, the skin looks matte and primed. Later, the makeup stays long. So, this sunscreen also acts like a primer too. The sunscreen also has protection against UVA and UVB rays. So, while it prevents from tanning, it also protects you against sun rays that cause ageing. The SPF 30 is enough for protection for around 2 hours and this product has to be reapplied. One of the reasons that I picked up this sunscreen was because it mentioned “sport.” I realized that it is an advantage. While we were kayaking, the sunscreen didn’t melt along with my sweat, usually I have white droplets rolling over my face, but that didn’t happen with this sunscreen.

It does not irritate the skin and I dared to go bare face in the high soaring temperatures near the Portugal beaches! The sunscreen does not clog pores or cause breakouts. This sunscreen protects the skin from high temperatures, and compared to my body, I noticed a lot of difference on my face and the areas like behind my ears/neck where I had forgotten to apply sunscreen where my skin got tanned, my face was only lightly tanned. I have been using it every day. If you indulge in gym or sports activities, then this product is best suited for you. This sunscreen doesn’t provide any moisturization effect. You need to apply a good moisturizer before you apply this sunscreen. If you have dry flakes on your face, then this product doesn’t do any good to cover it.
