My Experience with Garnier Fructis Strengthening Conditioner – Normal Care:

The conditioner pack is nothing new, just the same old green bottle with a flip
cap at the bottom.
The front of the bottle specifies that the product contains apple extracts and the back mentions what the active fruit concentrate actually does to hair.  The product is white and creamy, but not very thick. It has a pretty strong synthetic smell which doesn’t really remind you of apples. If you inhale it really strongly, it might even make you feel a little sick. However, only a faint trace lingers on hair after washing, so it doesn’t matter much.

Directions of use are to rinse well after shampooing, apply conditioner along length of hair to tips, leave for 1-2 minutes and rinse thoroughly. I followed the same, except that I also ran a wide toothed comb through my hair after applying the product.

Like I mentioned, the product isn’t that thick, and I needed a little more than I usually use. It spreads through easily, and I was able to run the comb through my hair without much difficulty. It rinses off well too, and doesn’t leave behind a residue, save the faint synthetic smell that I talked about.

I ran a wide toothed comb again through my towel-dried hair and then left it to air dry. Once completely dry, I combed it with my usual comb and found that my hair was soft and smooth and shiny, and it was easy to detangle. My curls were bouncy and my hair felt more “alive,” for want of a better word 🙂

My frizz was also tamer than usual. By the next day, the softness and smoothness persisted and my hair was easy to detangle too. But by the third day, it was all rough and messy, signaling it was time for the next wash :). As to how strong it became, it’s a little difficult to say, since I didn’t have much of a hair fall/breakage problem to begin with.

Would I Recommend/Will I Repurchase Garnier Fructis Strengthening Conditioner – Normal Care?

Well, yes I would; it is a decent enough conditioner, if you are ready to overlook the “chemical” factor, both in the scent and in the ingredient list. It actually does what a conditioner is supposed to do, smoothen out hair and make it easy to detangle. Nothing much to complain about!
