Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash Review

Hello Beauties,

How many of us while packing for a trip, whether short or long, get that creepy feeling of having forgotten something till the time we have left. Well, I always do and tend to leave something behind in the end. This time it was my face wash and I was heading into the hot and humid climate of Rajasthan where I simply couldn’t do without one. This is how I got hold of Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active Neem Face Wash.  This was the best available option at a nearby chemist where I was residing.

Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash Review

I had almost forgotten about it until yesterday when I saw an advertisement on TV and decided to give it a review.

Product Description:

Every day your skin feels impure as it braves pollution, bacteria and excess oil. The result could be pimples and impurities. Purify your skin with Garnier Pure Active Neem face wash, enriched with the power of Neem Leaf Extract and Tea Tree Oil. Skin feels clean, fresh and looks clearer.

How does it work?
The soap-free formula, enriched with Neem Leaf Extract and Tea-Tree Oil, helps prevent pimples through 3 purifying actions:
1. Fights bacteria: Washes away problem causing bacteria to help prevent pimples
2. Fights pollution: Deep cleans pores to remove impurities caused by pollution.
3. Removes oil: It washes away excess oil which can attract dirt, germs and bacteria.

How To Use:

Gently massage on damp face using your fingertips carefully avoiding the eye contour area.  Rinse thoroughly. For best results use twice a day.

Neem 1

Price:

Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash is priced at Rs. 75 for 100 gm and is for pimple-prone skin.

This one comes in a white-colored tube with a rotating cap. How I hate these, they are so messy at times. The texture is gel like and does not appear to contain any soap, though it lathers well upon application. The liquid is lemon-green in color and runs as if it’s missing its train :P Since it appears water like with a slight hint of green on hands, I have collected a small amount of the content in its cap to show the actual color.

Neem 2

I have combination skin and my face perspires a lot in hot and humid climates causing a few breakouts. In a region where temperature is in extremes and sand particles make you wash your face a number of times, it fared really well though I wasn’t expecting this. I used it on a regular basis, twice a day and could feel my skin clean and dirt free. While massaging, I felt a cool sensation as in menthol which was absolutely relaxing considering the summer heat and I felt fresh. It has a mild and pleasant scent, but one that I am unable to associate with any of the ingredients.

Neem 3

Overall Verdict:

A nice face wash for daily use that is adequately priced and soap free.  This face wash deep cleans without depriving the skin of its original moisture content. Enriched with the goodness of neem leaf extract and tea tree oil. A very small amount is required, hence value for money. I cannot say whether it helps prevent pimples or not as I do not have any, but it did not cause any breakouts. Skin does look and feel clearer.

IMBB Rating:

4/5 (minus points for its runny consistency and packaging).

I don’t like garnier products as such but their face wash category is ok. This one is better than their previous products
