My Experience with Garnier The Brusher Gel Cleanser:
Initially, I was skeptical about trying this cleanser. It was a gift from an NRI relative, but I wasn’t much convinced about the brush and the cleanser combo. I had assumed it to be a marketing gimmick, but I was happy to be proved wrong. The cleanser comes in a green, 5 fluid ounce bottle, which is sturdy and handy. Although it is a bit bulky, I feel you can handle it pretty well due to its shape. It has a white disc-shaped brush covered with a transparent leak-proof cap. Also the twisting mechanism to dispel the gel works well. All product details are written on the bottle.
The brush on the top is a disk with little silicon bristles poking out of it. After twisting the head of the bottle, I have to turn the bottle upside down to release the gel through a slit. It reaches the brush and you have to wet the brush. Then, you slowly massage it over your face for cleansing.
The cleanser doesn’t really foam much, and I prefer high foaming washes as I like my skin squeaky clean, but after washing, I was pleasantly surprised. This little brush managed to clean my skin well, making it so soft and clean. It removed every last trace of base makeup and I could literally see a renewed skin layer. Also, the flexible bristles feel soft and don’t irritate my sensitive skin.
It really works well as a deep cleanser a few times a week. It gets rid of minor blemishes and prevents new pimples. Using this has improved the quality of my skin greatly. I absolutely love this cleanser. Skin feels nice and smooth after use and also allows moisturizer to penetrate easily. It’s the cheaper and economical version of Clarisonic Brush.
The only cumbersome part is cleaning the brush head, but I twist down the brush and hold it under running water for a minute or two.
