I love gel liners. I just have one black liquid liner , which I rarely use. I thought I’d give you some reasons why gel eyeliners are so super awesome . 
- Gel Liners are more forgivable than the liquid liners.I find them easier to apply as compared to liquid liners -2-3 strokes of brush and I am sorted.
- They dry very fast as opposed to the liquid liners. So there are less chances of ruining your perfect eyeliner application.
- You can double up your gel eyeliners as a base for smokey eyes or use them as a kajal on waterline. Those who always look for super long lasting kajals, try using gel liners for waterline. You’d be surprised how long they last. They are super long lasting.
- I have rarely come across bad gel liners. I have used gel liners from Maybelline, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Inglot, and MAC. I like all of them.
- If they dry out, you can mix them with Inglot Duraline and they’d be new again.
- They come in a variety of colors.
- They come in adorable pots.

It’s pencil liners or the gel liners …infact I love using eyeshadows too.

True gel liners are soo good to use…but the thing is we dont have a big variety of shades in India
yeah but mac keeps coming up with these limited editions so you can pick those that time.

although i do love liquid liners too.. for me they apply quicer..somehow.. coz maybe i have practice.. but they lose out on gel liners for me coz they cant be applied on waterline AnD have a heavenly staying power

I am not comfortable with liquid liners as u need a sturdy hand for tht… i prefer pencil liner bt i think i shud try a gel liner now

Was always into liquid one on upper lashline & pencil one on waterline. Got Maybeline & BH gel liners for the 1st time..yet to try ‘em & keeping my fingers crossed @ using ‘em on waterline as me on perpetual hunt of non-irritating-long-lasting-waterline-buddies

no we just rescue them the same day. just mention in comment only if you comment goes in moderation. Would rescue it immediately.
I love gel liners too..something in them that kinds of draws me towards it..the same with pencils..love them too

yeahh furr they have loads of shades. The only thing with inlgot liners is that they dry pretty fast as compared to other gel liners. Nothing that cant be rectified though. They are amazingly pigmented.

i have one in maybelline.. i dont use it to line my upper lids cuz i am not able to get a thin line.. :headbang: may be i shd try a different brush… But they are super awesome for my water line.. it just stays as it is till evening… :dance: :dance:
rahi may be you could use an angled brush or a that bent liner brush. It becomes super easy with those.

Definately a gel liner lover. I have the one from ELF for daily use and Bobbi Brown for when I’m working long shifts. Love both. Have used liquid all my teenage years and they have somehow managed to smear on my top lid at the end of the day. Never tried them on the waterline though, but when I do I will get back to you.

Hi Rati, i was thinkin of buyin the Inglot #77 gel liner, but am confused which brush to use, since the recommended brush is 30 T which is expensive:( is there any other alternative?

i bought my first eyeliner as maybelline’s gel eye liner and never turned back..even though in teens i did have that cheap lakme liquid eyeliner but never was able to get a straight line and eventually left but now using gel liners applying is so so easy!

the only one i have till now is the maybelline wala..and am head over heels for it.. i rarely use the one lakme liquid eyeliner…for daily use it’s either the pencils or the gel liner for me..they don’t smudge budge and stay up for good 5-6 hrs…love it

just scoop a little at the back of your hand, add a drop of duraline, mix and use it.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about gel eye-liners but didn’t know which brand to try. I think that I’ll try the L’oreal one… it should be easy to find. I’ve been interested in trying eye liners for quite sometime now. :preen:

It would show up ramya. It is a gorgeous bronzy brown and it is quite pigmented as well. But do try it at the store if you have a doubt. I dont.

hey great article..after trying every type of eyeliner, gel eyeliners are my favourite too. I own the ones from maybelline and MAC, both of which are pretty good but MAC has an edge that is lasts much longer than the maybelline one. This is the ONLY type of eyeliner that dosent smudge.
