Gerard Cosmetics Tequila Sunrise Lipstick Review

Hello ladies!

I have suddenly been smitten with the coral color and tend to shop in the same color zone. So, this purchase was an obvious pick. Gerard Cosmetics does not have much of a spread when it comes to color choice in lipsticks. But, whatever they have got is very pretty. In my greed, I ordered 3 lipsticks All Dolled Up, Tequila Sunrise and Fire Engine.

Claims:
A fresh and fun peachy Coral lipstick that is ultra-pigmented and long-wearing but so festive and flirty. A soft matte formula that will keep the party going all night long

$19 (But I got it for 9.66$ with free shipping to India)

My Experience with Gerard Cosmetics Tequila Sunrise Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in a small golden tube which has a curved cap with Gerard Cosmetics written on it. The name and number is mentioned at the bottom. The cap opens and shuts with a click.

Tequila Sunrise is such an apt name when you see how the company describes its color. I loved the name. Tequila Sunrise is a bright and fresh peach color. I thought this color might wash me out. But, when I used it with bright smoky eyes, it gave such a subtle finish to the look. Not sure how this would look on dark skinned beauties, but I am sure it will look much brighter on fair toned women.

This lipstick, as I mentioned for All Dolled Up too, does not have a very creamy texture and also tugs a little during application. It has matte finish. Absolutely no shimmer or glitters. One needs to exfoliate and moisturize lips before application or it will tug more during application. This color will accentuate fine lines or flakiness or dryness if lips are not well prepped beforehand. These lipsticks do not dry the lips out at all even if they seem so. Nor do they moisturize. They are very light on lips.

The pigmentation is good and single application brings out the right shade. Although, the color is buildable to a darker shade, multiple layers look a bit cakey. It stays for around 4-5 hours which is very decent. It does survive occasional munching, but would require touch up after heavy meals. It also transfers a bit. When it fades, it comes closer to our natural lip color with a light peachy stain. But, these lipsticks are in no way waterproof! I love this peachy shade, nonetheless.
