This is a product that I purchased under the sponsorship scheme, which consumed all the sponsored points, but was still worth it. I spent two hours in Sephora to get the right eyeshadow palette which would be versatile with good pigmentation, and which would suit my skin tone. I was a little confused between this palette and one by Tarte, but eventually settled for this one – keep reading to know why.

My Take on Guerlain Beaugrenelle Ecrin 6 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette:

Stores like Sephora and Ulta are heaven for makeup geeks like us and trips to these stores become even better with nice, informative and helpful SAs. The one who helped me to get the right palette was really pretty and sweet; she took me around the store and swatched several eyeshadows for me and helped me narrow down this particular palette.

Packaging:  Most of the expensive palettes do not come in routine plastic cases, but they come packaged in really thick hard board cases that are eco-friendly and very pretty, but the one by Guerlain goes a notch up and comes in a beautiful metal case. This particular one has a very pretty flower pattern, mesh design on the cover, and the inside has another plastic flip cover which doubles up as a mirror.

Color (clockwise from top left corner):

1: Dark dull blue color with a matte finish with a creamy consistency. It is a neutral-toned product and can look pretty on most skin tones.
2: Dark blue shade but lighter than the previous shade, matte finish with powder consistency.
3: Light grey-blue shade with a silver finish.
4: Bright champagne shade with gold shimmer – perfect for highlighting.
5: Dull grey – mud color with matte finish.
6: Pale banana shade with matte finish – can be used to blend darker shade.

Texture:  These are pressed shadows but feel like powder shadows because they do have a bit of fallout. They have very soft texture with a matte finish except the dull blue color at the far right corner. The shadows are easy to blend, are easily buildable, and are perfect for recreating several different eye looks.

Staying Power:  The entire day or till it is removed, it does not smudge or transfer, and needs a good makeup remover to come off.

This is a very pretty palette and comes in 5 different assortment of colors and even though these palettes are really expensive, they are worth the splurge and luxury.

Cons of Guerlain Beaugrenelle Ecrin 6 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette:

• Expensive.
• A couple of shades have a bit less color payoff compared to others.
• Availability might be an issue for some.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Guerlain Beaugrenelle Ecrin 6 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette?
This would last me a while, hence I won’t repurchase it, but I do recommend it to all those who don’t mind spending $93 on this pretty palette.
