My experience with Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara
I bought the Guerlain Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara with super high expectations. Plus the claim of volume, curl, hold were quite tempting. I personally look for mascaras that could give volume to my lashes and make them look dark, intense, and black. This mascara has a lot of goods but it sort of is is love-it-but-don’t-love-it-enough kinds.
- It’s an intense black mascara.
- The brush coats the lashes very well.
- The formula is creamy and does not take long to dry.
- The mascara does not flake at all.
- It separates the lashes well.
- The thin bristles help coat the lower lashes as well very nicely.
- But what I like the most about this mascara is that it holds the curl very well. I wear it in morning and even by evening my lashes don’t look flat.
- I like that the formula is slightly clumpy because that makes the lashes look very black. For some people this may be a con.
- The packaging looks luxurious.
- It has never irritated my eyes.
- It does not smudge or smear.
The con actually is that neither does it give me enough volume nor length (as you’d see in the swatch pics below). It is somewhere midway and leaves me wanting for more. It kinda coats my lashes very well and make them look darker. It works sort of as a nice definer for lashes. Overall, it is a very average mascara for me and there are definitley better mascaras around.
Overall, I am not too impressed with this one. I don’t think I’d be repurchasing this.

A great review Rati ….Love the photos .. *woot* *woot* Anyways this product might suit people with naturally long lashes and can just enhance it more but people with normal lashes need something that gives naturally big lashes … Maybelline Mascaras do that 🙂 anyways I love it when you try new product just so that when we buy it we can read it here and then decide 🙂

Definitely not worth such high price. There are many drugstore mascaras available which do a great job. The packaging of course is drool worthy 😀 🙂
