My Experience with Guerlain Meteorites Perles du Paradis / Illuminating Sparkling Powder

You have already read Kulpreet’s review on the Meteorites pearls HERE . These come in various colors. I picked a pink based one. It contains pearls in shades of pink, pale pink, silver, mauve, purple. There is a rose gold sparkle in the pearls.

Although Perles du Paradis claims to be a limited edition product. These were launched in 2013 but they are still very much around. Not that I’d recommend you to get these. Just telling you. 😛

The packaging is sort of tough bulky cardboard(y). I mean for a luxury product, a cardboard packaging feels quite cheap. It comes with a cute baby pink puff with a bow attached on top of it. A cute but a useless applicator. One, this is a sparkly product so if you are using it as a highlighter this puff would add sparkle on your face all over and not just on the places where you want to highlight. So it’s best that you use this puff with your loose powders.

The product claims that you can use these pearls all over your face to set your makeup. I am sorry but you cannot. It has very visible sparkles. And you cannot apply sparkles all over your face. Phew!

The base is sort of pinkish…barely there kinds but when you apply it, you can see that hint of glow on your cheeks. I use my chubby bronzer brush to apply these. That is the only brush that is able to pick the product evenly. The highlight stays all day long without fading. But I always stay conscious about applying tiny sparkle son my face during day time. 😐

These pearls are strongly perfumed. I don’t mind the perfume but it can be an issue for some.

It blends well with the skin and the sparkles do not accentuate the pores.

But it’s such an ordinary product. A simple highlighter that is made so complex in the name of luxury.  There are a whole lot of highlighters out there that would work so beautifully on skin.

Best for those with light cool skin tones.

Not recommending it at all. Pretty pretty mediocre product. :/
