Hair Care : Home Remedies For Shiny Hair

Hair Care : Home Remedies For Shiny Hair

Hello Ladies,
Hope the Sunday is treating you well. Mine has been pretty relaxed and exciting at the same time. Anyhow, today I am sharing some home remedies for shiny hair with you all. 

We all know ourselves how much we process and treat our hair, straightening, curling, heating, drying and all those harmful things which make our hair look only NICE. 

Hair Care : Home Remedies For Shiny Hair

Most of the tips I mention in this article are the ones which I try regularly for boosting my hair and its texture, internally and externally. 

Vinegar : This is my favorite way to pump up my hair. I basically shampoo my hair and fall it with a rinse of vinegar. Make sure you let the vinegar be on for some time before rinsing out. I do it atleast 2 times a week. This renders a nice shine to my hair. Vinegar does have a pungent smell to it, so make sure you rinse out well and apply some hair cream or leave in conditioner. Or else your hair may end up smelling like they just had a tossed salad. 

Henna: Frankly this is what my mum used to do in her teenage days. She says it is a miraculous remedy for healthy and shiny hair. You have to take some henna powder and add appropriate quantity of yogurt ( 5 spoons henna needs 2 spoons yogurt) and 7 spoons of lemon juice. Refrigerate this mixture overnight and next day apply it from the scalp to the tip. Leave it for an hour and then rinse off. Frankly I never tried it since I love my colored hair and I am not a fan of henna colored hair. I like it on my palms.  This is those once a month kind of treatments. 

Mayonnaise: Unconventional though, but this works since Mayonnaise is rich with eggs which are apparently great for the hair. All you have to do is get a wholesale mayonnaise jar from the grocery, and apply a thick mask of it all over the hair and sit for a good 45 minutes. Now rinse and shampoo normally. Now go ahead with your regular routine, conditioner followed by hair cream or leave in conditioner. This makes the hair shiny and soft. 

Green Tea Rinse: Prepare a green tea f your choice and cool it down. After your shampooing just rinse your hair with this and let it be on for some time and then follow the conditioner. Yu may add a spoon of lemon juice just for that extra shine.

Olive Oil : Massage your hair with olive oil and you can also infuse this oil or any oil for that instance with parsley, sage or elderflower. Remember to heat this oil before massaging and wrap the hair in a towel post massage. This will improve the texture of the hair and also stimulate hair growth.

These are some of the home remedies for shiny hair. Other than these, try and avoid a lot of regular hair styling and processing. Follow a good diet and get enough sleep.

Also I have seen that keeping the hair in a bun helps improving their internal and external health. What are your ways of having shiny hair? Any other home remedy?
