    :waiting: for small changes that can make me feel happier in India..

    Am proud of being born an Indian, celebrating the traditions as an Indian..
    Am sad, for feeling weak to raise my voice on a political vehicle who horns at me, even when the signal is red.. For the govt not providing good roads in Chennai, but is ready to 5n us for not wearing helmets.. And lots more reasons… I don feel democratic.. So am not celebrating this day…

      We do not have a choice about the country that we are born in. But no matter which country we are born in we would always come to love some things about it and hate some other things. Nothing is perfect; not our parents, our partners, our lives, or millions of moments that we live each day. And we are certainly not perfect ourselves.

      But we still love and care. We do not shrug responsibility to change and to be part of the change. The system that you decry is still working for a lot of things, otherwise you life in this country would have been a living hell. The system is working because there are people who are taking responsibilities and doing things. From a normal government electrician coming to your house to a civil servant sitting in high office, everyone is working to sort problems that this country is facing.

      Yes this system is not perfect. Far from being perfect in fact. But it is changing. And things are certainly not changing for worse. I see India only improving every year. 🙂

          Am happy to have been born in India.. AM definitely proud being an Indian.. Infact, i’ve never thought of going abroad and settling.. Just that day by day, i find chennai a nightmare to live.. I’ve also read about good officers, who willingly got into the system to create a change, and very willing got out of the system to be of no service due to political pressure.. Am not happy enough to celebrate the day… Am not forcing anyone not to celebrate the day..

          Everything that happens around is for good.. 🙂

Republic day is not only celebrated by hoisting the tricolour, but it is worth only if we take oath to maintain thecourage and sacrifice of saffron colour, truth and purity of white colour and peace and prosperity of green colour and unity of ashoka charkra…..   29. Happy Ganatantra Diwas!!! I missed my parents so much today cuz we always used to be cosy at home in Delhi watching the live telecast.
